Carrollton 51, Columbus 0: The host Trojans rolled up 349 yards, including 297 on the ground, while limiting Columbus to 85. Malik Sheppard led a fleet of Carrollton rushers with 79 yards and a 43-yard score. Four other Trojans scored rushing touchdowns. Carrollton dominated the game throughout, leading 30-0 after one quarter and 44-0 at the half.

Monroe Area 56, Lanier 28: Stanton Truitt rushed for five of host Monroe Area’s eight rushing scores, including a 67-yard touchdown run. Lanier stayed in the ballgame with a brilliant performance from wideout Devin Valentine, who hauled in all four of the Longhorns’ touchdowns. Valentine found the endzone on 14-, 69-, 50- and 33-yard scores.

LOVIN’ MY HURRICANES!!!!! With Chestatee shutting out Stephens County, it looks like the November 1 game with the War Eagles in Monroe is going to be for all the region marbles!! GO ‘CANES!!!!

Hey Black123456789 & Just a fan- thanks for letting us know to not even bother showing up for the Nov 1st game since the region is theirs!! That will save our county some gas money! I think we will still try & show up to give our best effort! Monroe is always a tough team & we will need our boys best effort to win! Monroe’s first Redcoat we look forward to our match & we will see who wins.
