TRIVIA

Buford has ended three of the longest non-shutout streaks in the state over the past three seasons with victories in 2011 over Greater Atlanta Christian (98 games without a shutout) and Jefferson County (100) and in 2012 over North Oconee (97). Meanwhile, Buford has been shut out only once in 194 games since 2000. Which team shut out Buford? (Answer Wednesday)

Answer to Monday’s question: The Georgia football player who had the fastest time in the 100 meters at the Georgia high school state track meet in Jefferson last spring was Creekside’s Evan Berry, the Class AAAAA champion at 10.95 seconds. Other Georgia football players this fall who won state titles in the 100 meters are George Walton Academy RB Stanley Williams (A), Greater Atlanta Christian DB Darius Slayton (AA), Sonoraville RB Andrew Slaton (AAA) and Marietta RB Kirvonte Benson (AAAAAA).

@ CoffeeC100 == I thought you guy’s might have a tough time with Robert Smith. 22 for 157 was a good night. Don’t feel bad though, he did it to everyone they played last season. He only played 9 games and was over 1500 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Roswell was very lucky because they only scored 3 points against Milton Eagles. Should of been a shutout and they would no lomger have the streak.

Same luck for Carrollton the last 2 games vs Sandy Creek. Hail Mary type play near end of 1st half in championship and a kick return last year.

Hey “High School Football”….How bout Milton’s streak of 643 games without a State playoff Win??? Now that’s a record that has nothing to do with luck!

High School Football…Milton has a really good shot at shutting out Lassiter this season. All they have to do is hold them to 47 less than they did last season, and 41.5 less than they’ve averaged giving up over the past four seasons. Good luck with that.

Carrollton is fully reloaded this year. Go watch one of their games and I promise you that you’ll change your mind. They are big and fast. If they beat Sandy Creek on Nov. 1st, they’ll win it all.
