Columbia has a pretty good team, the lack of discipline has killed them, during the first half of the season.

@War Eagle

Despite beating Mays in the 1st game, Carver isnt quite as good as last season. While their speed is always evident, probably going to be either Washington or Grady from the other side of the region to face yall. As a whole seems region 6AAAA isnt as good as last season. Havent heard much from Carver Panther lately on the blog who was demanding they be ranked after the Mays victory. lol

Redcoat- very weak region-not Monroe’s fault. Region 8 is yours. Round 1 against region 6 #4 seed will not be a problem. Round 2 will be Monroe vs Sandy creek or Carrollton-should be a lot of offense in that one-all 3 teams have outstanding qbs and rbs. (I am assuming a lot here)

CHS has some talent people. Their defense has been impressive the last two games and shutdown Carver tonight. Hate seeing the same plays offense every game unless they work, Should not have been a close game

Doesn’t seem like BC played well.

Not much of a ’round-up’ — 2 games ?? Wanted to hear some excuses from the Burke County fans!

I watched the NIC CHUBB show as Cedartown visited Layfayette.. …62 points, as Mr.
Chubb had to set out the second half…
Last Friday.. There victory over Ridgeland put them in the 7AAAA lead….. Looking forward to following his career at Georgia…….

@Just A Fan – no argument on the 8-AAAA lineup. Monroe Area and Stephens usually top the pack, but Eastside and Chestatee have the ability to challenge for the top spot. Lanier is good at 4-0, but its opponents are a combined 2-10. Common opponent: Lanier beat Oconee County 24-7. Monroe Area beat Oconee 53-0 while giving up 62 yards of total offense. The rest of the region are all Little Sisters of the Poor.

The Hurricanes are more loaded this year than any of the three previous playoff teams were. Goos size and Lord, what speed across the board……looking forward to repeating as 8-AAAA champs and a deep playoff run….

I would like to Congratulate the Dutchtown Bulldogs in theie win over the Riverdale Raiders on Friday. It was an overall stella performance by the offense, defense and special teams. The offense was led by a trio of running backs that helped accumulate over 500 yards on offense. The defense was led by Senior linebacker/defensive end Devin Randolph as he accounted for 3 of the 5 sacks by the defense. Way to go Bulldogs!!!
