No disrespect. But Calhoun looked like our jv team. The Trojans are just to big, fast and deep this year. Calhoun winning streak went down now the next one is going to fall (Sandy Creek). They have to come to Grisham stadium also. Get ready!!!Payback!!!

Have to give props to Trojan94 for calling the blow out. Calhoun travels well for sure.

We are very, very, very good this year. Plenty of games between now and SC but that is going to be a great game!

@ Go Trojans you can look at these kids and tell they have a real swag this year and a look of determination, and also our passing game is deadly with our deep threats that we have. Plus our defense has one of the best secondary in the state as I said in a post above.

It wasn;t that carrollton was that good its that Calhoun didn;t play well. Carrollton is better than average thats all. Sandy Creek will have their way with them. Sandy Creek 31 Carrollton 10 prediction for that game

Congrats to carrollton on beating up on a class AA school that even trojan power said looked like a JV team. Impressive trojans impressive.

Actually, what he said was they looked like OUR JV team….and they will most likely win the AA championship.

I guess “football guy” is an attempt at humor with the blog handle?

We have nothing but respect for Sandy Creek but let’s not get carried away with the Carrollton bashing. It was a quality win against a quality opponent last night. While our teams are always good, this years version is that much better.

Trojan 94-a thousand apoligies for doubting your game forcast. Got to agree with others-Calhoun looked very unorganized, the game was over for all purposes in the second qtr. Carrollton will still be underdogs to Sandy Creek-they are #1 and have earned it-but the opportunity is there.

Just a thought: maybe the Trojan Defense was the cause of the Calhoun issues?

Liberty County Panther are under the radar. 3-0. Wayne County had better take notice.

@DB DUKES – don’t feel bad – we’re only 50 miles away, but alas, on the east side of the Gwinnett County Holy Grail and can’t get much love, either….

Unless our D tightens up, the Sandy Creek-Carrollton game is going to be a shootout.

This year may well be one of the best Carrollton Trojans TEAMS ever. We have depth at all positions and the kids seem seem to play for each other and lsiten to our coaches. It remains to be seen as to what happens when Sandy Creek comes to town. From what I’ve noticed is that they just love playing football and representing the city of Carrollton. Great game Friday night players and coaches enjoy your week off, it’s well deserved!!

As always, AAAA appears to have the best, most competative teams. A couple of thoughts / questions: 1) What happened to Burke C? 2) Is Marist down or just tough preseason schedule? 3) Hard to imagine SC D’s being down, but is that true?

Off week for the Trojans! See you all in a couple of weeks! Go Trojans!

@Go Trojans!, I don’t think Burke Co. is down Coffe Co. is pretty tough but I am suprised about Marist though. I wouldn’t say Sandy Creek is down at all! I do how ever think they lost some pretty good players to graduation. They are closer to the rest of AAAA than they were last year but still a very dangerous team though. That being said I think we get them this year. Stopping those two backs they have will be the key and not letting them off the hook with big plays. We will have to be Stanford to their Oregon.

Well, we have yet to play a AAAA team, so don’t judge us too harshly yet. The average size of the three schools we have played is around 2300. I hope Carrollton is running something other than the wing-t.

@Trojan ‘85 : thanks and I’m old school also. I played for the Mighty Bears back in the day and have the ailments to prove it (no lol here). Best of luck to your team and happy days to you and yours.
GO GRIFFIN BEARS!!
(sorry about my birth-town Burke County Bears, they are good too and I pull for em but Griffin is the REAL Bears since I played there and they were in existence first.)
