Thanks Swamp. There are times when you win ugly and we won ugly tonight. Offensive play calling was bad (and that’s being kind), but our defense was solid as always. Let me tell everybody something, Mt Paran is for real. They have some very good athletes and are well coached. They will be a team to watch out for the rest of the season and going forward.

@ bigchipola …. I’m a Clinch Co fan on the Public side, but that’s another big win for Seminole Co.! Guess I’m going to have to start believing & start pulling for Seminole Co too. I do wish you well this season.

Trion beat Walker 21-7. Walker beat Walker 21-0. We were the definition of self-destruct tonight. Hats off to a good Trion team and thanks for another great halftime show from a Class A marching band. Actual score: Trion 42 Walker 7.

Big win for Pisgah over OLM tonight. Down 16-0 at halftime, came back to win 17-16 on a field goal as time expired.

It was a game tonight. Either team could have easily scored a few more TD’s but both D’s came up when they had too. The way things have been going I just hope we have some players still standing when we get to the end of the year.

Hats off to a good Landmark team. Very well coached, especially on the Defensive side. I am still hurting from the “lateral” call that was returned for a touchdown. Landmark will go far.

I don’t know what Landmark game you all were watching?? Bad rep for A that they are #2…

They are one dimensional on offense (Stockton & fullback dives) and they can’t score…

On defense… They are hard hitters but they are too small on the perimeter to beat the best teams. You
Gotta tackle on the edge. Cameron Uter/Druden will give them huge problems.

I must admit, GWA would of lost tonight if it wasn’t for Stanley William’s heroic effort. We planned on sitting him tonight. It turns out that we needed him more than ever. Hats off to Holy Innocents, who I was really surprised by. They held our offense very well and drove the ball on us better than I thought. If it wasn’t for some big plays, we would of lost tonight. Good luck to HI for the rest of the year. They have some talent.

Observing. I think we saw the same game. I never said this team is going to blow doors off anyone. There are major problems all over the place. Including the fact that each week we have more boys on the sideline than on the field and we only started out with 5 or 6 seniors we may be down to 3 now. #2 is very high I stated that after it came out and we didn’t give that to ourselves. But, this is A and the line between #2 and no one has ever heard of you is very small. What you saw Friday night was not beautiful football but rather what happens when a team puts it out there and leaves there guts on the field. As a Landmark fan for the past 12-13 years we looked like and felt like much better teams 10 years ago. But those teams probably wouldn’t have won that game Friday. While it hurts my soul Swamp knows I will give him the trophy now but I think he will admit that he will feel much better about playing a small one dimensional team after that game is over later this year. To me this is what makes A so great. Some coaching and a lot of heart–No telling what will happen on a Friday night.

Observing This was just a Bad Night. Landmark Can Score This is the same that has had 30 points in almost every game played this year. It’s not going to be pretty all the time and someones gonna look at that film and fall asleep on an undefeated team! That Team Fights You can’t teach that they either have it or they don’t. Those Guys play with heart and soul! The coaches are excellent. The Defense made up for the offense yesterday and defense always wins Championships. Landmark has played a tough schedule and prevailed. It’s those kind of games that go a long way down the stretch!

Landmark should have scored 3 more times but play calling was a little off last night. Mt Paren had some big guys and played tough. not sure how big there center is but he is tall! Not a pretty game but still counts as a win.

Congrats to Landmark tough physical game and both defenses were outstanding! Still questioning lateral call when QB was in shotgun, but the film will confirm either way. Even though it was the difference in score doubt it was difference in game, Landmark would have just kicked a couple chip shot field goals when we had our 2 goal line stands so it really doesnt matter. Both teams can question offensive play calling, great effort by both teams great fans and both sides should be proud of teams.

Landmark #2 …… you can question that they should be #2, but NO ONE has four impressive wins like they do over four quality teams …… no, not even ELCA. Hold your head high Landmark and keep fighting.
