GA repped very well. Gainesville a bit high esp with the issues they’ll have on defense but they have Watson and Rivals loves Watson.

@camdenfan2013– Looks like Norcross AQUIRED some key players the same way that Camden County AQUIRED J.P. Vonashek a year ago. Look at your own house before you start the insinuation.

Flyer-you are correct-the list of athletic transfers published last year showd Camden with a large number of transfers;the most in their region if I remember correctly. Of course this does not make them different from most competitive programs-especially in the higher classes.

HSFB Follower…I completely agree with everybody else on this stupid blog that besides the fact you are an idiot, Gainesville being ranked in the top 300 of any national poll is a joke. They only have 1 D1 prospect (Watson) and they had a cake walk to the state championship last year. Lets see how they do against Grayson, W Forsyth and Buford in the next 4 weeks. Regardless of all that, Rivals loving Watson is like, uhh Carvell loving everybody but Watson. I think Carvell owns stock in 247Sports. Jones over Watson for 2013 AJC POY…Joke! Carvell’s boy got punked out in his own bathroom! Holy crap, literally. I mean my goodness, what does one have to do to be considered the top prospect in the state? Rhetorical question Farley. For crap sakes, Watson was named Max Preps National Junior of the year. His skills have not diminished since then. He is going to break every major passing record in Ga high school in just a little over 3 years. That is 2 remedial math classes for you “Flyer”. If this was some white kid out of Cobb/Gwinnett county, everybody would be on his jock. Bottom line is Watson has already committed and his story isn’t as interesting as Carter’s, and Carvell has to justify some way for you donkeys to read his mindless work. Look at yourself in the mirror (don’t puke) and honestly answer the followig. If you worked for Saban, Richt, Meyer or Miles and could only take 1 player from Ga for 2014…who would you take? PS…Fred, FYI, North is not going to win a football state championship this decade. They are the biggest under achievining team in the state, now that Norcross finally pulled one out. Don’t drink the great Bobinski’s Kool-Aid.

If I’m not mistaken, Vonashek’s sister worked at Camden long before he got there. Plus, since Camden’s a military location, like many others, one would expect a large number of transfers. I’m sure most of them did not play football…..It’s kind of funny that the exact position that a team/s lost, a very good replacement at that position, just happened to transfer in…….. At least Camden doesn’t go out and recruit players like some of the other schools. You know who you are! Release the…………….. CAMDEN COUNTY WILDCATS!!!! :-D

Wow. It seems like the only way a team cam win a championship these days is with a boat load of transfers. One big problem with a team loaded with transfers is, a lack of chemistry which comes from playing together over a period of time. Its no wonder those transfer loaded teams can make the playoffs but have a very difficult time bringing home the title, sometimes even losing in the first round.

transfers in 6A football is a reality of the sports its the biggest stage in ga prep sports with the biggest schools and EVERYBODY’S doing it. Kids want to play for the best and parents want to get there kids in the best situation to succeed with great coaching as well as outstanding academics remember norcross high is the number 3 public school in the state for academics as well. (usworld news rankings)
so can we stop hating and let the norcross bring a national championship to GA where it should be.

Colquitt Co has shown in recent years that they peak very well during the course of the season and will usually be standing amongst the final 4 teams when its all said and done.

Norcross reminds me of Grayson last season! They will be ok but they lost a lot and will not win state in my opinion. Gainesville will be good as well but not better than my TUCKER TIGERS!! #best defense in the state with 5 players ranked and 8 starters coming back!!

@ 74 == Yes we are. It will not take long to see what both teams have as this game is Sept. 6th. Looking forward to seeing what an offensive line that averages 213 lbs. can accomplish.

Sportsnut, you’d be surprised at what a small offensive line can do, especially with the right blocking scheme. I’m predicting Colquitt will lose 3-4 games this season. I believe their schedule is too strong for them to maintain their physical, mental and emotional focus for the entire season and the playoffs. Since you guys just happened to get a few very good transfers, you all should be in the mix again! But, unfortunately, no State Title! :-)

BCs2010: Just make sure you are on the opposite side of the brackets from Northside, Warner Robins. Tucker will win it all!!! Just go to one of their practices. They look like a small college team.

@ 74 == Those transfers may be a fine addition but we had many players that received significant playing time last season. Hopefully they can put it all together and make another run. Speaking of Colquitt, they will have to be over-achievers to survive that schedule with that size line. Norcross, I read, dominated after they gave up two Td’s. Could that have been a result of the size of the offensive line? I think so. I tend to feel the same way you do about them losing games, only I think they will be early, as usual.

Sportsnut, who’s going to be Lovejoy’s starting QB and RB, a player from last year or a transfer? :-)

Sportsnut

@74 == I am not sure about either position. The transfer, Neely, had a leg up with his athleticism in the early days of practice but unfamiliarity with the offensive scheme cost him. If we ran the Wing-T, he would be the starter. Hill, the back-up last season, knows the offense but lacks the physical gift’s of Neely. Rogers, the JV starter the past 2 years, has a little of both but lacks maturity. Coach Hughes likes the battle but would rather have had his Qb. situation settled by now. At running back, Kirkland is in a fight with Rico Tilley, a rising junior, who is elusive and quick on his feet. We may have a back field by committee.
