Freshman Shivani Beall scored the tying and go-ahead goals, lifting Paideia to a 3-2 overtime victory over Fellowship Christian.
Fellowship Christian led 2-1, after Alexandra Lear scored at the 15-minute mark of the second half.
But Beall tied the game six minutes later with laser left-footer from the top of the goal box. She then gave the Pythons their first lead 35 seconds into the first overtime session.
Alex Murdoch also scored for the Paideia (14-6), which earned its first state title since 2001 and third overall.
Fellowship Christian’s Megan Hudgens scored a first-half goal for the Paladins (13-7), who were looking for their first state title.
Both defenses and goalies–Paideia’s Alex Clark and Fellowship’s Anna Soderlund–came up with huge stops in an back-and-forth championship game at Kennesaw State.
