Football: South Paulding’s Glanton hired at Kennesaw State

Kennesaw State’s new football program has snatched up another Georgia high school head coach.

Tim Glanton, who started football at South Paulding in 2006, has been hired by Kennesaw State’s Brian Bohannon.

”I am very excited to be part of the Kennesaw State coaching family,” Glanton said on Twitter. “They have a great adminstration and and great man in Coach Bohannon.”

In April, Bohannon hired Grant Chesnut from Central of Carroll County to be his offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

Glanton’s record at South Paulding was 29-33. That included record of 6-4 each of the past three seasons. He also coached at East Paulding (2003-05) and Brooks County (1998-2000).

Glanton is expected to be a strong recruiter as he is widely known among Georgia’s head coaches because of recruiting expos that he has run the past several off-seasons.

He was a LOSER at EAST PAULDING…and continued his tradition at SOUTH PAULDING! Paulding County football gains but KSU is the LOSER! We can only hope he shows his true colors fast as KSU is going to be a GREAT football program!

If you are going to run the wing t or something close to it why not get the best coach ? Look over who has won most of their games using this type of attack in this state? A proven winner ! A couple private school head coaches close by and or some south Georgia coach would be better suited to win.

He laid the foundation for John Reid’s success at East Paulding and built the program at South Paulding. Best of luck to a good coach and good man.

John Reid took the same kids Glanton had that went 3-7 the year before
And went to the dome with them. Winning 12….sorry he’s leaving south….always a win with him there …nice guy but not a winning coach

Sorry “John” but the ONLY thing Glanton laid at East Paulding was GOOSE EGGS!!! He had NO support from boosters, nothing but losing seasons…John Reid took the SAME kids the year after Glanton left and began the winning program EAST now enjoys. Had nothing to do with Glanton…he took the same coaching style and started losing at South Paulding.

I am concerned that bohannon can’t or won’t find quality assistants from the college ranks
Or at least ultra successful high school folks
