Yesterday our Riverside Lacrosse team took the home field against our biggest rival – Gainesville High School. RMA junior Jack Reiman scored quickly off an unassisted goal in the first minute to give Riverside an early lead. Gainesville responded in their next possession to tie the game. After another goal from Reiman and a great uncontested goal from senior defenseman Chris Ruff, Riverside was leading 3-2 at the end of the 1st half. During the 2nd half, Gainesville scored again to tie 3-3. Early in the 4th quarter, Gainesville managed to take a 5-4 lead. In the last five minutes of the game, junior Kevin Wood and senior Taylor Calderon, along with another score from Reiman, gave us a 7-5 lead to win the game! Great job, Eagles!
Next game: March 14 at Buford H.S. at 5:30 p.m.
