This part of the season is where you find out if you are prepared to play at a high level or not. True depth comes out. Who plays against the best? How quickly can a coach prepare his team to play somebody from a different region? The best coaches have already scouted all four teams from that region. Have you played teams that are better than the folks you will play at state during the season? No time for rest nor sleep; you can do that in mid March after the tournament. Do you relish the opportunity to go on the road and quiet a big crowd? Are you prepared for whatever may come your way? We shall see what we shall see. The cream always rises to the top.

Mr. Green that was very well said. Now I hope my Westlake Lions can go on the road and quite the big crowds we are about to face in the first 2 rounds if we can get by Rockdale County on Wednesday and next stop will be Tift County. Go LIONS!

I Hurd west lake sat they starters in the 4q in that regional game against Tri cities because they was already in the state I felt like that was so dumb if they did do that because now you get tift county in the 2nd round. West lake hasn’t face no top teams all this year and to go in 3 seed to face a team like tift your 2nd game is gone b alot of pressure for the lake. I mean I like lake but I just think that was a dumb coach move if Rogers did that.

Manny Fresh Westlake did no such thing! Don’t know how many if any games of Westlake you seen this year, but we play all games to win. That’s why Westlake teams are always CHAMPIONS and a team that all love to hate. Let me bring you up to speed in the 5 loses on the season it was by a total 20 pts to be exact. As for not playing anyone we beat who was on our scheduled including Buford and Stephenson who are both ranked in the final rankings for the season. Last thing…we’re never scared we come to play night in and night out it doesn’t many who we play and we will see if Westlake played anybody based on how well Douglas County, Tri-Cities and Newnan do in this State Tournament. By the way Mr. Manny Fresh what high school do you suppose? You’re just like a the referees we face every game….Westlake Haters!!!!!!!! Go LIONS!

@mr Elam I’m at every south atlanta game summer league and all so I really don’t keep up with west lake like that I came to like 3 or 4 west lake games this year I like them I just think they are a little overrated with them having tony and Keywon the number 1 player in the country in his class they haven’t showed me anything. They haven’t played anyone in the top 20 in ga. They should b undefeated right now with they strength of schelue and the depth they got. I just don’t see them winning the state this year Keywon shoot to many jumpers when they need him in the paint.

South Atlanta got the best back court in Ga that’s why we keep beating the the #1 team in the state

@manny fresh @mrElam it may have been smart to go ahead and try to knock off Tift Co early. That may have been a good move. Catch Them early while your team is still hyped from the newness of the tournament. Try to stay away from the teams that are familiar with you. Also in the Final Four, who would you rather play, Norcross or Wheeler? Look at how the bracket is set up. If they knock off Tift, Norcross is easier to beat than Wheeler to get to the Championship. (My opinion)

Wow!@mannyfresh who is this suppose best backcourt in Ga?! I haven’t heard anything about them..matter of fact no one really talks about the upsets of Columbia…OAN Bagtas is very overrated…I like the Wilson kid at Rockdale to give him the business on Wednesday..

@basketballnut Keywon suppose to be a soph making him the number 1 player in the country I don’t know is his ranking drop or not but he was #1 look it up I know he in the top 10 if not #1 but I know he was 1. But I would rather play wheeler than norcross that’s jus my opinion. @bmax it’s been proven #12 #23 #3 first team all region team and no 1 can stop them if u check all of our scores on max prep we beat every team dang near by 20 or more. And we got the tuffest region in the tourney hands down Columbia Marist Grady and us. If you haven’t seen south atlanta play I suggest u come out and see how these guards be going off best shooters in the state stuff be looking unreal. They ain’t never respected us at the beginning that’s why u never Hurd of us we wasn’t even rank now those guards are talk of the town we rank 432 in the country now 6 in the state we should be 1 or 2 if you look at our strength of schelue, we 1 in our region now doe. And we started at the very bottom them teams that’s already up der been at the top since day 1 we had to earn ours. South Atlanta is the truth man ain gon lie

What?

Is this some kind of code language? “Sat they starters”?, “face no top team”?, “ain gon lie”?
