After losing every starter off of a four time state championship team, and not getting a plethora of transfers, I’m sure many teams were licking their chops to get at Miller Grove this year. Not so fast my friends. Coach Sharman White has put together a team of worker bees that plays together with a single purpose each game. Am I surprided? Absolutely not. The cream always rises to the top; championship pedigree does not become evernescent. Quality is quality. Kudos to Coach White and his team as they attempt to win an unprecedented fifth state championship in a row. And for those of you who enjoy twitter, Coach White provides a multitude of sayings, proverbs, and truisms that not only relate to winning in basketball, but also winning in life.

Proverbs such as if you already have been caught of recruiting high school players, just start recruiting middle school players.Tony Parker (Stephenson/Redan Middle), James Walker (Redan Middle), Keith Pickney (Stephenson Middle), Alterique Gilbert (Lithonia Middle). Very wise.
