Redan never trailed after falling behind 4-3 inside the first two minutes. “We came out to set the tempo and play our style of basketball,” Redan head coach Jerry Jackson said. “I was prepared to drop back into a zone if they started to hit shots, but we were able to keep the pressure on and force turnovers.”

Redan extended a 15-point halftime lead to to 38-18 in the third quarter behind Elmore’s third three-point make of the night. She finished with 14 points, four assists, a steal and a block. Redan played without guard Destini McClary, who Jackson expects to suit up on Friday after missing the last two games. Chamblee, led by 23 points from Candace Rhodes, has lost three straight after starting 9-0.
