Nike Interstate Shootout
Central Catholic (Ore.) 68, Norcross 61: Despite a fourth straight 20-plus point night from star senior Diamond DeShields, Norcross was unable to protect a halftime lead in the finals of the Nike Interstate Shootout. Bri Williams’ 3-pointer gave Norcross a 33-32 advantage at intermission, and the Blue Devils would stretch the lead to 41-34 in the third before Central Catholic ended the quarter on a 15-6 run by forcing Norcross into a series of turnovers. DeShields would finish with 28 points and Shayla Cooper finished with 18. Kailee Johnson and Jordan Reynolds would each top 18 points for Central Catholic. The Blue Devils next face Duluth this Friday as Region 7-AAAAAA play continues.
