Dawson County 42, White County 38: Host Dawson County improved to 9-0 (3-0 Region 7-AAA) as senior point guard Gunnar Armstrong led the team with 17 points. Dawson County led 23-14 at the half, but White County drew to within one point at the end of the third period. Armstrong hit two 3-pointers in the final minute to put the visiting Warriors away. White County junior guard Spencer Adams led all scorers with 19 points.
M.L. King 74, Dunwoody 67: Host M.L. King led 51-50 heading into the fourth quarter but a Paul Jackson pass to Greg King for a dunk put the Lions up by five with three minutes left and ignited a mini-run that gave M.L. King a commanding 9-point lead it would not relinquish. M.L. King made 12 of 18 free throws in the fourth quarter to help put Dunwoody away. Sophomore forward Kevon Harris led M.L. King with 22 points and 11 rebounds while King, a junior forward, added 19 points and 10 boards.
Miller Grove 69, North Atlanta 60: Coach Sharman White’s Wolverines led 41-26 at the half, but struggled to put away North Atlanta. Senior guard Kyre’ Hamer scored 20 to lead Miller Grove, while junior point guard Keith Pinckney had 18 points and six assists, freshman guard Alterique Gilbert scored 12 points and had four steals and junior forward James Walker grabbed nine rebounds. North Atlanta center Noah Dickerson led his team with 13.
