collins hill sent the JV to the county tourment for the second year in row, when state comes around see who wins, not archer. Same result as last year, but Brookwood finishing third must be a lot of week teams in the county now.

Well why doesn’t CH send the varsity next year? They might want to beat Archer now while they still can, lots of good young talent in that program.

Can’t believe Bremen #4 in AA? New in AA but expect big things from the Devils and they will be at the top fighting it out with Jefferson when all is done. Also you must not have heard of Mt. Zion in Carrol County. They have already won 2 tournaments and are wrestling well enough to be ranked in class A.

How Mt. Zion not ranked. Must have some bad coverage of Wrestling. They are winning tournaments, against some of your ranked teams. Thanks BHS #1 Fan for giving Mt. Zion there due props, And Yes Bremen will be at the top of there game come tourney time.

Rankings at this time of year rely heavily on the previous year’s ranking. The rankings are gradually adjusted as more and more current matches and tournaments are factored in. Gordon Lee won’t remain at No. 1, and some unranked teams will appear. This is the only realistic way a reporter has to rank teams, most of whom he has not yet seen.

I go back and forth on whether GHSA is corrupt or just inept. Look at Class A areas for the traditional state championship: Area 1 has one ranked team; Area 2 has one ranked team; Area 3 has two ranked teams. But they have crammed 13 teams into Area 4, which includes 3 of the top 5 ranked teams and 6 of the top 10 ranked teams. Doubtless some very good wrestlers will be left behind from Area 4, while some less than stellar wrestlers may advance at lower seeds in other areas. Geographic politics?
