I hear South Atlanta is looking to hire another coach flunkie from Mays who previously coached at South Atlanta and quit. If you cant get Coefield to come back home or Brian Montgomery, quit hiring from the Chitterling circuit and especially Mays.

@Will LMAO! We all know it’s gonna be somebody’s frat bruh, but it’s not like coaches are beating down the door to deal with that mess over there. Jasper Jewel seems to be improving the lot for APS athletics over the old regime, but the district can’t even keep a superintendent that isn’t kneck deep in croneyism and/or nepotism though! APS athletes just need to move on out to Clayton, DeKalb, or Fayette so they can win some championships and get some scholariships.

@ Metro Fan I agree that Jasper Jewell is making some changes but he is still fighting the uphill battle of croneyism and nepotism. APS is still trying to hold on to the mantra of keeping what they call the APS Babies circulating through the coaching ranks. As long as you and your family graduated from APS you have and inside track to a position no matter how bad you suck as a coach. I watched S. Atlanta this year and they had some athletes and they have a nice pipeline from the middle school but that was the WORST COACHED TEAM I have ever witnessed. No Technique, No Fundamentals, No Offensive Scheme, and Definately NO DEFENSIVE SCHEME!!! They just blitzed every down hoping to make a play. I hope they give some of the outside applicants a reals shot at the position. APS has to come out of the stone age and start looking at ways to help build athletics.
