GTVET…..Still mad about the election? What does that have to do HS football? None of these programs would be anything without young men that look exactly like our President….so please take your garbage back to the mountains.

The party is over . . . Congratulations to Norcross.

Congratulations to Colquitt. Three losses in the semis, one in the finals. A very successful program and representative of 1-AAAAAA, where there’s no question how important football is. Gotta give them credit for all those I-75 miles they’ve traveled.

@Congractor – I’d recommend a new pair of glasses. You obviously have trouble reading.

@Grayram=I have to agree,Norcross was the best we’ve seen this year and they are also the fastest team too. Another good season but we just can’t get over the hump.Well Norcross should be happy cause the last 3 teams in 2009,2010,and 2011 who beat us has won the state title.

@Wildhawg2012 – I think it is safe to say that Colquitt has played more football in the last four seasons than any other team in Georgia. Without checking, I come up with 57 games out of a possible 60.

Great season for the NC Warriors… just was not their night. 22 is a beast for Lovejoy. I think the Warriors have a lot to look forward to with a heck of a QB that will be a JR next yr. Best of luck to the 2 teams in the Dome.

Lamar County was the real deal and almost pulled the upset of Calhoun. Calhoun beat Ridgeland earlier this year and I believe Lamar County is just as talented as that same Ridgeland team that will be playing for the state title next week. The Trojans had incredible speed all over the field and completely shut down the Calhoun passing game.

With the two Austin brothers back next year, they will be a force to be reckoned with in AA. Hats off to the Calhoun defense. They bent all night long, but stood firm when they needed it.

@GTVET – and I missed the comment to which you replied. You didn’t start it. Someone prejudiced that accused you of being prejudiced started it. That poster would deny how much he hates to have written such a thing. Such posters claim to hate people that hate, but, you see, their hate is OK because it is good hate. Just ask them.

Good luck to Norcross and Lovejoy. I’ll bet the team that gets penalized the least wins.

Calhoun 2 times had chances to go up 28-7 but failed, Lamar got back in @ 21-14 and Calhoun held, never trailed. Lamar didn’t get tired and wound not be put away.

Congratulations to sportsnut and The Cross….they said it early that their teams were talented and would be here and they were right. I just wish there were methods that would allow us to see these teams more before the playoffs, I had no idea that the talent level of these schools had risen so high. This bodes well for the future of GA HS sports…so many new teams in the hunt.

Good night to all….another great season of football. I guess it is time to go full steam ahead on my Falcon fandome.

Well I just walked in the door after driving back to Florida from the Ware County/Northside game. Ware’s defense played lights out. Score was no indication of the way the game went. It would have been a tragedy for Ware to lose after the way they completely outplayed NSWR

@ North Cobb Warriors == Thank you for giving us a great game. I must admit I was nervous, very nervous. Twenty-one points surrendered in the first quarter made me sit back and think, what just happened ? I can say that the future is bright at North Cobb and it’s football program. I am sitting here trying to figure how you scored so easily. There were plays when there was no Lovejoy player in sight. The mix of close and open splits might have been responsible. Either way, you played a good game and should have the respect of your fans and football fans in general. Keep you heads high and get back on that bike and ride it until you ride it like no one else. Leave knowing you knocked on the door. Next year, kick it in ! Kudo’s to you fan base as they were behind you till the end. I made my way to the locker room door and congratulated some of the players on a fine season. The Qb was one of them . Tyler was well mannered and visibly hurt but I told him to come back next year and make another run. Very well done, North Cobb.

I’ve been attending games in Memorial Stadium (The Swamp) for years. I witnessed the 5 biggest games ever played in the swamp. NSWR came out tonight and spread out on the field before the game and really tried to antiminate the Gators, but Tobler just put the team on his back and carried them. I think they were stunned as to how quick and good the Gator “D” was. Ware dominated the whole game and then went to their prevent with 17-7 lead and the ball on NSWR with 3 minutes to go. Craziest comeback I ever witnessed and the life got sucked out of the stadium going into overtime. But Tobler wouldn’t have any part of it and once again but the team on his shoulders and willed them to win. He’s an amazing athlete. I think all of the Eagle nation was stunned at how they got dominated.

I am first going to give kudo’s to North Cobb for a good game. At the same time I am mad because they scared the _-_- out of me. Good job.

Now to test the waters. Where are the Lovejoy detractors ? Any complaints tonight ? Did they play Lovejoy football ? Hell Yes. Sorry but this feels good. There has been so much made of this, the first season of AAAAAA. Lovejoy is deserving. Norcross is also. I thought about coming on tonight to gloat. I can’t. Although this is what I want, it is still not finished. One more game and then we will see. I reserve the right to make all my post season comments after the game saturday. I am not sure what they may be. The final outcome will have much to do with it but there is much to say about these Lovejoy Wildcats without any more games. Tonight, I spoke to the entire team and it was special. They have been reading these pages and appreciated my support. Our job is not done yet. I know this and so do they.

Watching a game in person is so different from watching on TV. Congrats to all the Colquitt fans that came out for the 4th weekend in a row. Y’all had a pretty good turnout. It did look as though some of you left in the 4th quarter

Colquitt just had no answer for Norcross all night. The Blue Devils O line was blowing great big holes in the line and it sure looks like if you give Kamara an inch he turns it into a a mile. Hog Air never really got off the ground tonight. Segraves is larger than Mobley and was able to get some good runs in but I really thought Mobley was the better passer when he came in to play.

It is clear that Kamara is the real deal deal! His running was outstanding and I know he came out of the backfield for a long reception in the the 1st quarter I think. Very impressive kid.

I think Norcross has a good chance in the finals. I know Lovejoy is explosive but the Hogs can be as well and they never really could get much going on a sustained basis.
