Anybody know why that kick for Marist was taken by someone other than Joey Gogol, the kicker who has made several field goals of 40+ yards this year? Tough break for the kicker – he probably makes that 9 out of 10 times. Great game either way. Shame to see it end like that.

Northside facing a 4th-and-6 in OT, trailing 24-17. Just missed a slant in the end zone.

GPB announcers giving Colquitt a pep talk and an moment of admiration. Nobody from Colquitt should be complaining about the announcers, the refs or the weather.

After that no call for Colquitt that might have been a safety, Colquitt should be PRAISING those referees. I hope I don’t read any bellyaching by Colquitt on the refs this time, if they lose.

If Norcross hangs on, you’ll have four teams in the top two classes that have never won a state title –
Norcross, Lovejoy, Gainesville, Ware County …
Also never won – Ridgeland, Jefferson, Dooly County, ELCA, Prince Avenue Christian

Those guys on GPB/TV are just plain pathetic. Northside/Ware Co. game has been over for about 10 mins. now and they just announced they are in OT, tied 17-17. Ware scored at least 15 mins ago in OT. They apparently don’t own any laptops or up to date phones of any kind. It’s pitiful really.

Norcross 34-13. So far, Norcross doing what Grayson couldn’t do, or even Brookwood, when the Bronocos defeated Colquitt for the championship in 2010. Holding Colquitt to 13 points. Some time remaining. We’ll see.

Gotta love what Norcross is doing to Colquitt. They beat Camden but they are embarrassing ole Colquitt. They took advantage of Camden mistakes but they are just taking advantage of Colquitt completely. Very impressed with Norcross players sportsmanship.

One thing that impresses me in watching these games, especially the tight ones, is how well teenagers perform under pressure. Even teams that lost like Marist and Northside made a lot of clutch plays to put their teams in position to win. Good stuff.

So you call the Baltimore Ravens style of play “sportsmanship” huh? Have noticed several times one or two of the Norcross players try to hold the runner or receiver up so another one can try to strip the ball from him. Yep, it’s legal but not good clean sportsmanship, IMHO. The Ravens are well known for that, and get a lot of criticism for it.

So does this mean I don’t get to hear how great Colquitt and NSWR are all next week. Maybe the AJC will write an article about how they should be playing for the Championship even though they lost tonight. Sorry I couldn’t resist, congrats on a great season to all the losers tonight.

Anybody without a cat in the fight (not pun intended on Camden) knows so far which team has been better tonight at Norcross. Any other assertion is nothing short of a cry baby embarassing Colquitt.
Colquitt has scored 34-20. Now that’s important. Not some fool embarrassing the Panthers by silly whining.

Pretty amazing, Bo —
That’s if Keith Maloof and Norcross win, though. …
But for those who don’t know, Maloof, Ware’s Ed Dudley and St. Pius’ Paul Standard are all graduates of St. Pius, class of 1980, all former players of the late coach George Maloof, a St. Pius legend.
