That’s really weird, don’t think I have ever seen that so flagrant before. Somebody is “in love” with Camden County! Camden has 8 players on the first team, offense and defense, and Colquitt, who beat them and is still playing, has 3. Go figure? BTW, saw Brice Ramsey and Cole Segraves both play in at least 2 games this year, and if I were a coach of a D-1 team would take CS in a flash over BR. No comparison. Some people get a name stuck in their head and that’s who they go with.

Make that 4 for Colquitt, missed one on the first count, but still just as bad. That’s twice as many!

How in the world do you not have any LoveJoy players on the list. How does a team thats in the semi’s and their only lost is a 7 point defeat to another team in the semi’s on the road. Oh, and by the way, Lovejoy has the best defense in the state just ask NG and Anthony Jennings from Marietta.Camden County coach is the coach of the year, thats a Joke. Lovejoy played in 4A last year and he has his team in the semi’s in 6A this year. Camden has about 170 players on their team and lovejoy may have 80 players.

@Dum-bass………. I maybe wrong here, but these teams are chosen collectively by the coaches….. so the ppl u say are “in love” with Camden are the fellow coaches in the region

Region 1-AAAAAA was voted on by coaches only – no media or fans voted.

Doesn’t matter if it’s the coaches, writers, or whoever, stand by what I said. Looks rather strange. Why is Camden not still playing, and why did Camden get beaten so solidly by Norcross if they garnered “Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Special Teams Player of the Year, and Coach of the Year”. Heck, they should be playing in Div. 1 college ball right now! Sounds like the system needs to be changed. The ‘best” team with the “best” players doesn’t make it to the title game. Actually if Norcross is that good, to have beaten Camden so convincingly, maybe Propst should just keep his players at home and not even make that long journey to above Atlanta!

BTW, for the record I don’t live in nor do I support Colquitt Co. Don’t even live in GA anymore, so I say that as a “casual and impartial observer”. Just love and appreciate GA high school football, since I did live in GA for a lot of years. Things like this just jump out at me, and I do have friends in Colquitt Co. That’s why I follow so closely.

Ray Gofff….. Colquitt has to beat Norcross first. Are you a kid? Your post comes across that your a little kid hiding behind a computer. Norcross is the only undefeated team at this point. If Colquitt does beat Norcross then I would consider that an upset since it is being played at Norcross. No disrespect to the Colquitt fans or program, but Norcross is the team to beat.

Ifin ya wanna know the travesty of this wonderful list…them brilliant coaches voted Bobby Hill 2nd Team All Region. If there’s a better WR in Region 1…I honestly don’t know who it would be.

According to MaxPreps, one of the WRs on the 1st team had 21 catches for 381 yards and 4 TDs. Bobby Hill to date has 76 catches for 1052 yards and 6 TDs and he’s still playing. And to top that off, the region 1 coach of the year is sitting at home watching his boys play basketball while Propst team is still playing and setting or tying records! And will someone please remind me who won the Camden vs Colquitt game?

I was okay with all the other picks but I would have thought Bobby would have made 1st team. No big deal. We have got to find a way to beat a very talented Norcross team. I sure hope Ole Rush can get the Offense rolling because I got a feeling we gonna need a lot of it Friday night.

****Rufus69****yep, noticed that too, but decided I had said enough already. I understand Hill has already committed to Miss. St. and they love outstanding wide receivers. I’m still having trouble believing the coaches are the ones who did the voting on this. Maybe the coaches in another state? Then again if it was, possibly ulterior motives are involved. That does happen. We all know what happened during the year, and that most of the coaches despise Propst. Would not surprise me.

Cole and Bobby should’ve been first team. Nothing against Ramsey but how can a QB that throws 6-8 times a game get first team? Travesty. Nothing even needs to be said about Bobby Hill. Todd Boyd should be on there somewhere too, he’s prolly better than the two first teamers as well.

December 4th, 2012

Bobby Hill is good. Should have been there. Not a Rush fan, but it appears that there is some bias in this selection process. On the other hand, Seagraves-Ramsey is a mismatch. Every D-1 coach in the country has the opportunity to choose who they like best. Ramsey is the one who has a truckload of offers. With that being said, Seagraves should get a very good offer somewhere. He is a good player, a gamer, and a winner.

The kids shouldn’t have to be punished cause people don’t like Rush but its ok the Pack Nation thinks he’s the best in the region and we love him and our team.Ramsey is a punter thats all i’m saying.

Brice Ramsey is better known on the college level because he travels to the high school qb competitions around the SE area. He has been doing it for about three years. The college coachs like what they see in him at these competitions. Especially since he has won a few of them. Just saying.

Not to take away anything from Cole… He has really come on strong since mid season.

****Camden74**** your convoluted thought process is mind-boggling. If CC dominated Reg. 1 this year, why didn’t they whip up on Colquitt Co.? Sounds like they were good but not quite good enough. That was proven also in the game against Norcross. That’s why that first team offense looks so out of whack! Take Coffee Co. for another example. They have 3 players on the first team offense, yet they finished the year with a season record of 5-5, and a region record of 2-4. Colquitt Co. took care of them pretty easily, and in case you have not noticed are still playing and in the semi-finals. The more I think about it and see more things that are so obvious, I think there has to be an ulterior motive and vengefulness on the part of the other coaches.

I am a longtime Packer fan and I honestly have nothing against Norcross. But, after watching their games with Parkview, Chattahoochee & South Gwinnett, I don’t see them hanging with the Packers.

I’ll be the first to admitt that I missed it on my prediction of the Camden/Norcross game.
I sure wish I could watch that Game. If anyone knows a website, please let me know.
I assume that Norcross looked like a totally different team than I have seen.

I know high school kids can be sporadic in their performance but If the Pack plays like they are capable, and minimizes turnovers, then I predict Pack wins Friday night by 21.

Hope both teams play their best & honestly, “may the best team win”!

The Camden/Norross game was MUCH closer than the score indicates. The score was 20-19 Camden with about 8 min. left in the game. Norcross played a great game, but I (as usual) disagreed with Camden’s play calling. Brice Ramsey had thrown only one interception the entire season, he threw two against Norcross. Camden played one of the most undisciplined games of the season. Two roughing the passer penalties on one drive, three total. Norcross scored 21 points off of Camden turnovers. Norcross’ play calling was right on cue. Kamara was on his game, he was the dagger!

Y’all must have forgotten, Camden WON the region!

Tell you what Packer Fans, win Friday night and I will sing your praises! :-D

This year, Colquitt and Norcross were better teams than Camden, period. The Wildcat’s weak O line and the lack of a power fullback was evident from the first week, and only got worse as the season progressed. At QB, Ramsey is an outstanding arm, but Cole Seagraves sure looked to me like the better QB; in the two games they’ve met head to head, both were won on clutch plays by Mr Seagraves. On defense, Colquitt is about one point better than Camden.
But don’t be fooled by all that “Region 1AAAAAA” claptrap: Norcross’ is one heck of a team. Their D is just as good as any in this region, and their Offense is on a whole ‘nother level. Colquitt either plays their best game of the season, or they go home.

After listening to the Colquitt Packer fans this week, we are highly confused as I know much of the posters on this site are as well. Therefore, we wanted to find a way to “profile” them so we could all recognize them. So the following is a pretty good way to determine who the Packer fans are.
You are most likely a Colquitt Packer fan if:

1. You think “loading the dishwasher” means getting your wife drunk.
2. You ever cut your grass and found a car.
3. The Salvation Army declines your mattress.
4. You’ve ever raked leaves in your kitchen.
5. Your wife’s job requires her to wear an orange vest.
6. Your lifetime dream is to own a fireworks stand.
7. You have the Moultrie taxidermist’s number on speed dial.
8. You’ve ever hit a deer with your car…deliberately.
9. You’ve ever given rat traps as stocking stuffers.
10. Your grandma has “ammo” on her Christmas list.
11. The taillight covers of your car are made of red tape.
12. You prefer car keys to Q-tips.
13. Your wife’s hairdo has ever been ruined by a ceiling fan.
14. You consider a six-pack and a bug-zapper high-quality entertainment.
15. One of your brother-in-law is also your uncle.
16. You had to remove a toothpick for wedding pictures.
17. You consider a family reunion a good place to find Mrs. Right.
18. Your dog and your wallet are both on chains.
19. Your dog can’t watch you eat without gagging.
20. The fifth grade is referred to as “your senior year,”

Thank you for your time.

I support my Camden County High School but every team has excellent players these are individual players as you can see not TEAMS …. and last i checked this is HIGHSCHOOL football not the NFL come one these kids all of them need support and know good sportsmanship and for the adults that show none your not setting a good example to our future College players and hopefully NFL….i sit on the camden side but many games i have cheared for the other for excellent plays they deserve to be reconized.

Camden had, at least, two very good FBs this season. Brice Ramsey is one of, if not the best QB in the state. But he does not determine the way the offense is run. We never got the opportunity to see his real talent. With the speed Camden had on offense this season, DBs should have been terrified to see Camden coming. There is a situation at Camden where the HC has a particular philosophy and come hell or high water he’s going to stick to it. He believes it’s the best way to run an offense, so he sticks to his game plan. IMO, Camden’s defense was on the field way too much! But when you run a mostly conservative offense, that’s what you get. Release the CATS! :-D

Colquitt fans, without questioning why the 1-AAAAAA coaches selected the particular all-region players they did, you may consider that the all-region selection recognizes individual talent/skill/achievement and not how the all-region player’s team faired in during the regular or post season. Some teams throw more, some run more, some receivers have better quarterbacks on the team so pure stats don’t always reflect talent or skill. I just think it might be a little disrepectful of the region 1-AAAAAA coaches and the selected players to suggest bias – there are clearly criteria other than winning a particular regular season or playoff game.

GHSA Fan Police, some of your comments were funny but I wouldn’t brag about it at Friday’s game – unless you have really good medical….
