I would like to congratulate Norcross for their Victory over our Camden County Wildcats. You outplayed and out coached us. You have an incredible team and I personally hope you run the table and get a well deserved state title. Please beat Colquitt next week. Your fans were really awesome. For our Camden County Wildcats we are all proud of you. Wildcats, you gave some great memories and we know the future looks awesome with undefeated teams coming up from middle school through 9th grade and JV. For the Seniors who played their last play at Camden, we thank you for your heart, passion and leadership over these last 4 years. This is my last post for 2012 and I look forward to Next Season.

@wildcatguy=Wow thanks!! Well i guess u now want Norcross to beat us why.Is it because u guys couldn’t or is it because u don’t like Propst.I guess when u loose all that we represent region 1 and we are brothers stuff goes out the window huh but its cool cause we’ve been the outcast of the region since Rush showed up anyway. But we don’t care cause we support out team all day and since u starting to sound like Bk with all this jv and 9th grade undefeated stuff. Well while u guys waiting on the young kids to get on varsity and do their thing a couple of years from now we will try to finish our mission then think about next year so we can do it all again because we have over half this team back with even more weapons so i guess we better win now in 2 or 3 years Lowndes and Camden 9th graders will be in high school and ready to take u guys to the title huh

Well, well, it would seem unlikely after last weeks turn(s) of events that Gwinnett County would now be down to only one representative in 6-A but that’s the case. I’m sure Mill Creek and Parkview played their hearts out as did North Gwinnett. However, the Bulldogs were victim of some very odd officiating down there in wonderful Clayton County. It seems the homeboys were allowed to do all the trash-talkin’ they wanted while the visitors from the north were expected to exhibit their Sunday school manners. Also, the NG band was curiously quiet during play this night in Jonesboro whereas last week it constantly regaled the crowd with raucous little ditties as the home team was snapping the ball. Whassup wid dat?? If you’re going to be obnoxious, do it with gusto and consistency! Norcross, it’s up to you to keep the trophy in Gwinnett for another year . . . oh and congrats. to Buford for keeping up the excellent 3-A play too!

No one likes a coach who makes a “choke” sign across the field at a kid after a fumble (@ Camden 2011), taunts across the sideline at opposing coaches (Camden @ Colquitt 2012). No one likes a coach who accuses someone of hiring an-ex Colquitt coach to steal signals (Lowndes 2012). BTW: Superintendents do not like it when coaches call them out, no matter how successful they may have been. Do you actually think for one minute that this particular issue is anywhere near being resolved?

No one likes a program associated with such buffoonery. Therein lies your answer. That is why you are viewed as a stepchild. Dude was looking for a job for a reason when he found Moultrie. Enjoy the relationship. It seems to work for both of you quite well. A mentality of “us against the world” can only carry you so far. It is manufactured and superficial. Ride it for as long as you can. True motivation is intrinsic.

For the record, we are not brothers, nor will we ever be (why would we want to be?). The scope of our program is national, not regional. State championships are A goal, not THE goal. Those will come as we continue to build young men who are best equipped to lead a productive and successful life. Region 1 is where we are assigned, just as was the case with Region 3. We play region games because we have to. Otherwise, no one would play us. We can’t get a home and home with ANYBODY anymore and have to pay schools to play us.

As for Norcross, congratulations. You are all class, top to bottom. Your kids earned it. It was good to see some healthy competition for a change. By healthy I am referring to intense, clean, sporting competition that is unfettered by provincialism (N vs. S Georgia), and envy. You will quickly notice the difference between Camden and Colquitt when they roll into your town this weekend.

You should win the entire ball of wax this year. I have seen many teams this year and yours is the one that stands clearly apart from the rest. Good luck the rest of the way. I hope our paths do indeed cross again soon. that means that we would both be experiencing a high level of success. As disappointing as the loss was, it was still worthwhile. We will grow from it. Wish it were this rewarding week in and week out.

First off I would like to congratulate our Lovejoy Wildcats for another great unexpected win. Now let get down to business . I kind not believe some of the things I’m reading about Lovejoy players been disrespectful. Lets run it down for the Nieves ones. Early in the season we play a team down south Ga. I think they call themselves Colquitt County. For a team we had never seen even player our kids where called animals and this was one of the nice words. Our head coach who absolutely love his kids was ask ( HOW DO YOU DO IT) by one of there staff members. They’re head coach ran on the field and cursed the officials out for 5mins. Over a questionable call. It was so bad that his coaching staff had to pull him off the field. He should have been ejected . Well he wasn’t even hit with a delay of game. On top of that the official picked up he flag no call. But every week our kids have too read about what can of disrespectful kids they are. Also just for the record we have two touchdowns called back in that game talking about home cooking. And one more question for Colquitt county. Why do all the white people sit on the home side of your stadium and all the black people sit on the visitors side. We ask an were told that’s the way it has always been. Really,News Flash it’s 2012 Us Be Free Na.

To North Gwinnett. See we can spell Gwinnett in Clayton County. But your team couldn’t spell touchdown. But I’m not going there NG brought a great team down to Clayton County unlike Alpharetta who told there band parents they didn’t have the funding to bring the band. Really? A area where the average home runs about 350k. You can lie to the parent but why rob these young musicians the opportunity to be heard they work just as hard on there craft. N.G brought the Band for some great entertainment. For this I would like to say congrats on such a great program.

That being said, Norcross was down in Moultrie for our scrimmage game, and I do not recall any racial epithets being hurled our way. No Norcross is not an all black team, but neither are they all black. Why does it seem that every time I come across another Lovejoy post, there is a racial component in there. You were right when you said this is 2012, this country has now elected a black man president twice. Quit thinking that every negative action directed at you or your team is racially motivated. Maybe we just don’t want Lovejoy to win.

Alex, I do agree with you 100%. I can’t speak for Norcross. I can only speak on what happened in Moultrie Ga. When Lovejoy High School showed up on the campus. These are the facts. Our band was told they had to change into there uniforms on the buses because they wasn’t giving a changing area. After the four hour ride there. Fact #2 Our head Coach who is white and we absolutely love was ask by one of there football staff member I quote (how do you deal with them). All of this before the players even made the field. Fact #3 Blacks on one side. Whites on the other side . Alex I agree with you i hate racism. But comment is not about race. But when you invite someone into your home. Make sure everyone feels welcome. We didn’t know anything about Colquitt other then a great high school football team. But we learned our place very fast. Honestly now that I think about it. They really didn’t know us neither. I guess they were just misled like they are trying to mislead North Cobb.

But in the end we want hold our heads down if we lose because we are proud Wildcats. If we win we hope that your team feel them same about your school.Remember we worked our butts off this summer to still be playing this winter. So in closing don’t let a couple idiots who has never worn a set of pads. Turn two great programs that has never met into enemies . Please feel welcome bring all the family. Norcross fans, I bet your WR coach, who is from Moultrie, would have nothing but great things to say about our town and program. The black community sits on the visitors side, which is general admission. Maybe they don’t want season tickets, who knows, maybe they like they like to heckle visitors.

whats all this about colquitt being racist???????

sportsnut

December 3rd, 2012

I made the trip to Moultrie. The general admission story does not hold water. Season tickets in Moultrie have special seats. Seats with backs and arm rest and are a different color. They do not take up the entire side of the home bleachers. If this was the case, why is there a fence that runs down the stands on the visitors side with a sign saying “Visitors only beyond this point”. My son and I went directly to the school because we did not know the stadium was not on campus. There we asked and was given directions. We followed those directions and when we stoped at a store, the cashier told us we had been given bad directions and corrected this for us.
@ Alex == This starts from those who are insensitive and think people do not recognize so called “code words” that to black people identifies prejudice. It is 2012 and even white people recognize these “words” because they know what makes these “words” come out of others mouths. I have no clue as to the history of Colquit County but they are clearly stuck in the past on this. That is just an example. My problem here is that the people who started this race thing with Lovejoy are some of those people that don’t like blacks and others read what they had to say and jumped on the band wagon and now the ball is rolling. Camden 74 made a statement that, in a couple of days, has spread. He said that regardless of wheather or not it is true, the “perception” is there now, that Lovejoy is a team of Thugs. Why do that to these young men ? Although this is nothing new, we are still trying to teach our kids that these feelings still are around despite it being 2012. It comes in many different ways as these kids continue to find out. At Starrs Mill, Lovejoy was made to exit through the back door after a basketball game in 04″ when my daughter played. How long does this go on ? In my previous sentence, I was not trying to blame Camden 74 for anything wrong but to show what he said is true. Look at the blogs and I bet some did not even see the game but this gives them a forum to express their true feelings about blacks. ,This is just wrong.

This comes as no surprise when Camden and Norcross played all that is written is how well both teams played and the sportsmanship from both teams. Norcross played a great game and beat Camden, congratulations. It seems when you are a good team and play the game and not all the trash that certain coaches bring to the field, everybody wants you to win. After the game your players were very respectful and courteous and that’s a reflection of the coach and the parents. Can’t say that about every team.

The experience at Camden County was fantastic, and everything you could want from a High School football game. The Camden fans were decent and friendly to opposing fans, but also spirited in support of their team. Just like it should be…

High school football is part of preparation for life for these kids, and winning is not the only measure that counts. Camden County is a class act, and even in a loss they come out winners in my book.

And by the way, thanks to the powers who be at Camden for allowing our fans onto the field after the game to be with our team 6 hours away from home. It is a tradition at Norcross for us all to join together after the games, so it was great to be able to do it after this big win. Greatly appreciated and I think we were well-behaved…

@ Sportsnut, the above post did not come from BK but from B

Reserved(season)seats are between the 25s(give or take 5 yards) and are the same as the other seats – aluminum. They are bought in advance at the beginning of the season. If you saw seat backs and colors, they were from stadium seats that the fans brought in.

I do not go to many games but from personal experience, there are black and white fans on the home side both in the reserved section and the general admission section. Students are normally in the north end of the home side. I cannot speak to the home team fans in the visitor section.

The only negative thing I have to say about the Colquitt County experience at the scrimmage game is the fact that even though it was clearly marked as a VISITOR only section, there were about 10 or 15 obnoxious Colquitt fans sitting in between our Norcross fans who wouldn’t stop swearing and trash talking the whole game. They wouldn’t leave and they wouldn’t shut up. I just told them I understand why your own fans won’t let you sit with them. I hope they mind their manners at Norcross and stay on the visitors side, this is a family event.

And the fact that the majority of the black Colquitt fans sit on the visitor side, but in the home part of the visitor side, was also very obvious (and a bit strange) but I am sure that this is something that they choose to do so it clearly is not a discrimination issue…

Pack GATA

There is no more racism in Moultrie than there is in the Atlanta area. I’ve been going to Mack There stadium since the late 80’s and from some reason across on the visitor side a portion of it been where a lot of blacks have Sat.I don’t know why for sure buts its not because they are made to. The only reason I’ve heard was that when William Bryant High School (all black) use to play there games there that was the home side. It was the home side for the Packers also. But when the home side was moved across field the black community stayed on that side in honor of the players and winning tradition of William Bryant. Now saying this I still don’t know if this is the real reason. If your a Colquitt fan and you know the truth please let us all know. one more thing, bad fans are everywhere you go. I’ve been to Valdosta, Lowndes, and Camden and experienced bad fans sitting on the visitors side even when there was plenty of room on home side especially Lowndes and Valdosta. The nice Camden fans on the visitor side heckled us as we walked out 2 years ago. There are good, great, and bad fans at every game just like there is on this blog. one last thing I’ve been season ticket holder for 10 seasons now. No arm back chairs. You can buy at becoming of season an perminant cushion back seat for $25 with no arm rest, but no thank you.

@Lovejoy. Oh you best believe we bringin the family down there. Brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, all that. We bringin the band, the fight song, the tomahawk chop, the terrible towels, the noise. You gona know pretty quick whos in yo house! And you aint gotta worry bout no prejudices, we strictly business. We let yall worry bout the name callin and profilin. We comin, and we comin with force. Yall sure are getting respect finally in the polls and all that. Im glad, too. I hope yalls players read about all of that. Id sure hate for them not to know how great they are, so go ahead and read on Wildcats! Yall beat N.Gwinnett and I give yall props. If yall think its North Gwinnett comin back down this friday, then yall aint ready. Dont be mistaken, its NORTH COBB! We have class, we play hard, we cheer hard too and we get it krunk. Just being real with yall no harm in that. But like I said, we keep it classy. Somethin magical about these Warriors. If you dont already know, you bout to see it for youself Friday. With all due respect, of course, to Lovejoy and fans…hope yall still come to the Ga Dome and watch us next Saturday night. We will give yall an orange terrible towel if you like…

Lovejoy is coming to play ball. No matter who it is, they will defend this house. So nice to see enthusiasm. If you have no faith, you have nothing.
