@ Wild hog == The deciding factor in the Colquit vs Lovejoy game was not penalties. If they were, it was that Lovejoy got penalized for things that are not against the rules. Lovejoy beat Colquit all night long. The difference was the officiating. With that said, we lost. Period, we lost. We are not living in the past. We moved on. We got better and now we are closer to our goal. When Cole was hit the same way Haynes was last night, the flags flew. Not because of a dirty play but because of a play made. Why worry ? Lovejoy and Colquit could possibly face off again and this time it won’t be in Moultrie. If they do, it will not be the same outcome.

@ Norcross Blue == Lovejoy does not care if you like them. They know we do.
@ TitleTownUSA = You are continuing that stereotype. You know nothing of these kids. All these kids are good ones. I fish with one. I have had others at my home for cookouts because I know their parents. They all, to the man will address me and any other man as sir. Ma’am to the ladies. There are many holding scholarship offers and they all have the grades.I have been around this program since 2000. I know the coach and if you screw up, you will answer. This is a team. Many questions have been raised as to their unity. It was on display friday night. They play for each other. All the haters need to stop and give credit where it is due. I would never come on here and I never have and berate a team or player for his style of play, even if it was superior to our team. For those from North, I say good game and good luck in the future. To those who are no longer in it and are complaining about Lovejoy, HUSH, you had you chance and what ever it was that you were doing did not work. Lovejoy is here and you all were warned about this team and it’s athletes but now it is “shameful”. Chalk it up to what ever you want but Lovejoy has so far proven they belong, something that was missing earlier in the season. Enough Said…………. for now.

Sporstnut, your blind homerism is hilarious. Every team you’ve played has witnessed poor sportsmanship from your some of your guys. The announcers spoke a lot about it last night and still everybody is lying except you. No one is taking anything away from your team b theybareba good bunch. All EVERYONE is sayin is that your coach needs to teach those guys some sportsmanship and integrity. Congrats on your win

sportsnut…….What you’re not seeing is the fact that the perception of Lovejoy being a THUG team is out there, whether they are or not. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t think they would make it past the 3rd round, despite their obvious talent. I could care less about the smack talking as long as it doesn’t affect the play on the field or the outcome of the game. But once the flags start to fly because of it, it then becomes a problem!

Congrats to all who advanced. My Thomson Bulldogs played a great season. We all just wish Tutt, our starting QB, was not still injured, it really hurt our team from being able to utilize the pass. But that’s life, maybe next year! Go Dogs!

Colquitt , as usual, showed itself as a prime fighting road team but various contributors, as usual, can’t seem to focus on anything but their dislike for our coach. The word “idiot” appears to be tha favorite term. No longer wasting time defending him other to say that no “idiot” could get teams to the semis as often as he has. The Hogs and fans are looking forward to a fight next weekend.

Looking forward to a week of Colquitt County fans posting in their best Foghorn Leghorn style…
Well I do declare, Colquitt had no interest in winning that August scrimmage against Norcross
Well we was just a restin’ our players for the real games to come,
And I say I say I say we was playin’ with only our left hands because you just never knows when you will have to play that way
And we wanted to let that Kamari kid get 200+ yards in the first half
Because, because, well I do declare we wanted to lulls him into a false sense of security
Yeah yeah thats the ticket…

@sportsnut – I disagree on penalties not costing you the game against Colquitt. I watched it in real time that night as we had a bye week and it was clear to me that LJ had several critical unsportsman like penalties at critical junctures of the game. I think I even commented on it on the blogs that night. In particular, I remember one that came after a sack when your guy was prancing around way past the play in the backfield.

ROB yall kicked a field goal with no time on the clock to take the lead and ran around on the field like Norcross just won the championship. Norcross won the scrimmage game pat on the back to you. The playoffs are a little different you have to play four quarters not three like the scrimmage And these are two great teams. Im sure the winner of this game will be the state champ. On a side note Kamara will not be stopped but can only hope they slow him down.

Fan-First of all we scored a TD, we didn’t kick a field goal. Secondly, nobody ran around on the field. We took care of business as usual. Norcross will not be denied this year, so I recommend that you guys take the $20k you’d normally spend on travel and spend it on a more worthy cause like dental work, women for Probst, fix up the booster club’s monster truck, English lessons, heated tree stands, Sunday go to meeting overalls, Honey Boo Boo videos, a new school song other than dueling banjos, sleeves for your shirts, best of Hee Haw video for the booster club, window replacements for all the Hefty bags in Colquitt.

Stooge…….I’m thinking barbecued Hog! I was hoping for a rematch, but Norcross had different plans. Don’t particularly care for his sideline antics, but Propst is really good at in game play calling and he, more times than not, has his team in a position to win at the end of the game. Too bad I won’t be calling the plays the next time Camden and Colquitt meet. If I were, I would, RELEASE THE CATS!

Cross – no problem. Sometimes it is tough to read intentions on these boards. Should be a good game regardless of the outcome. You guys have one heck of a RB. Our local sportswriter was asked about the top five players he had seen this year, and he was one of them,. Seems like he got about 200+ yards during the scrimmage.

Colquitt Supporter-Kamara is a great running back, but I think that he would tell you that a lot of his success is based on the play of his O-line and also his 4.38 speed. Our defense has also come on the second half. I watched the Parkview game and McEachern games and Colquitt looks like they are in their post-season form. Seagraves is playing really well as is your D.
There will be no easy games left as the title winner will earn it this year. I am expecting another hard fought battle late into the 4th quarter.
I look forward to a week of talking smack, nonsense and football.

@sportnut I agree with you 100%!!! A Defense is supose to hit! And Hit hard! Thats the way we played! The game has become so soft. It makes me sick. Keep crackin heads and celebrating LOVEJOY!!! NORTH COBBS QB is super slow… if you watch the screen passes you will kill them! His dad is playing Daddy ball and he needs to stop letting the other kids run the ball down to the goal line and then let his son run it in to pad his stats!! That SUCKS! I hope LOVEJOY Does them like Mceachern did them! Bust they butt!! Im glad Norcross beat Camden.. I was sick & Tired of seeing them run there mouth! Colquitt is Next! You guys down South were crazy if you thought all for teams from down south would be at the dome. You better pray to get 1 team in. I live in Cobb. I wish it was another team to cheer for instead of North Cobb. Im happy for kids on the team. But Queen dont deserve the props cause he has Caused a few good QB’S to leave that school cause he play DADDY BALL!!! AND EVRYBODY KNOWS IT BUT SCARED TO SAY IT!

@sportsnut Ive Coached football for over 20 years! YOU NEED A FEW OUTLAWS ON YOUR DEFENSE… Sounds like Lovejoy has 11 on the field at the same time.. it must be beautiful! As long as they line up and shake hands and show respect in line.. Tell them to keep laying them out & let the ambulance worry about sorting them out! I hope you guys PUNISH North Cobb with Coach Queen and that Daddy ball crap! Its to much of that BS going on in Cobb! GHSA need to put a stop to it.. seriously

Its funny that I’ve read this blog for two years and never heard anyone call Lovejoy players thugs. Now all of a sudden they got a rep for being thugs. I think people are so suprise at how good they are and they’re stretching things a little bit. I was at the game and didn’t witness any of this so call thug play. On tv you get replays but I’ve seen them so many times and never came away thiinking they were like that.
Like the coach from NG saying they would even better with a kicking game. Now I don’t what he saw, but all Lovejoy punts was very good.
