@Dum-Bass that is why they both should be playing up!! NSWR and Warner Robbins dont have any players that go both ways. Just because the entire school doesnt have the numbers doesnt mean the sport programs within the school dont. Just like Buford. They whole school play football that’s why they win that tiny championship every year. The state needs to have the players counted cause it is a advantage to the team with the most players but hey I aint complaining too much we beat them last year with all those players and ours going both ways.

Another weird year in high school football.
A lot of teams didnt make it out of rd 1 that were thought to be a shoe in to make it to the 3rd rd at least
Lowndes overall is a better team than marietta, didnt show up ready to play last week and marietta beat them. Marietta gets blown out by lovejoy.
Lassiter, much better team than brookwood. They dont show up to play and they get beat.
North gwinnett tonights spanks grayson like a red headed step child. Grayson qb is awful
camden and colquitt –one of these 2 teams will win it all.
Lowndes wins back to back titles next year and in 2014.

colquitt beat a average newnan team by 3 but a win is a win. Colquitt did get an easy draw. You take what you are dealt.
Lovejoy will not win the title this year. That is a well known fact
It will be the winner of colquitt and camden when they play each other..that will eb your 2012 champs. Camen will not lose 3 in a row

Gamer – Valdosta did not lose at home; we lost at North Cobb. That’s not to say we would have done any better against them had we played them at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. North Cobb is a very good football team. Ask Langston Hughes. And their QB is only a sophomore. I don’t know who they play next week, but whoever it is better be prepared

They need to play up in classification point, blank, period…If Tucker had that many players I would want them to play up cause I am a competitor and think we can compete with anybody. There are clearly some fans feeling their wins tonight and saying things that may come back to haunt them.
@Dboy Scott – You are right, I am emotionally sad. My team didn’t bring their “A” game tonight and paid the price by getting beat by a team that did come to win. We lost and I own up to it. Like I said, there was some “interesting” officiating but I am certainly not blaming the officials on our loss. If you consider that to be excuses you aren’t reading it right.

Nghs09…i am sneaking back on here real quick to tell you good luck next week against lovejoy. If yall can beat grayson , yall can beat lovejoy. Marietta is not all that. They were a “ONE” man team and lovejoy had a brilliant gameplan to stop Anthony jennings as lowndes did not. No one to blame on that except the coaching staff at lowndes. We had the athletes, speed and players to get the job done and our defesneive scheme was horrendous to say the least against marietta. I call it how i see it…like it or not and thats just the facts. Coaching is the reason we lost to marietta……..we played our worse game of year,. Anthony jennings is good…very good…but one man should not beat a team. I hope north gwinnett makes it to the title game. I will pull for a region 1 team in that game should they make it. Camden is going to beat norcross. Colquitt will have to step it up bc newnan was ok at best and they just squeaked by.
WEIRDYEAR…..i will sign with you on the 2014 lowndes team winning it all. I am not sure about next year. Randy Mac (head coach) says next years team will be the most talented team he has ever had at lowndes…that is saying a lot knowing the kinda teams we had in 04,05,07,08,09. We will see. I know two boys coming up to remember as far as names go. Tyson harriss and Tay hatcher. Remember these two names. If they stay on course …d-1 anywhere they want to go.

bk, you should insert below-average team in front of Newnan… I do think Lowndes will be better next year..some of the stronger teams like Grayson will get more average because their talent is not as strong as 2 years ago…there are alot of new private and Christian schools moving in on some talent on the south metro atlanta areas so their will be some talented footnball players spreading out more… no excuses just reality..

@ Fred…I agree that Grayson began to hurt themselves. They self-destructed after that botched punt snap in the 3rd. It was sad to see so many of the Grayson fans leaving the stadium with 4 minutes plus left in the game. I can’t imagine how the players must have felt after looking up in the stands.
@weirdyear…NOTHING is a “well known fact” in the playoffs. Lovejoy has just as much of a shot as any of the other 7 teams in contention right now.

@weirdyear – Nope the Grayson QB is not awful. Had a couple of bad plays but he is also the QB that was leading the team to score 30,40,50 points all year. NG was good enough to disrupt us and keep us from playing our game. If they keep playing this way they should go far.

@ bksmith14…Now that I think about it, it really sucked for Lowndes that they were the first to experience Jennings in the playoffs….You can bet your life savings that Lovejoy gobbled up every second of film from the Lowndes/Marietta game. Lowndes provided Lovejoy with what not to do. Football is a funny thing most of the time. NG will be ready.

as far as my statement about lowndes lost to marietta bc of coaching…dont get me wrong. i think we have some great coaches at lowndes and one of the best head coaches in coach mac in the state.
But look at from my point of view
1). Lowndes whole team was dead !!!1 No excitement. We acted like we wanted to go inside by the fire and geat warm and not even be on the field playing football
2) you could hear a pin drop in Martin stadium. HELLO …ITS THE PLAYOFFS..GET excited
3) Whos job is it to get the team fired up?
4) whos job is it to put a gameplan together so that ONE man doesnt beat you?
5) I can go on and on. Lowndes had better team than marietta bar none….but we looked like we were going through the motions out there and got just what we deserved and i hope some people wake up and smell the roses.

When we had the pleasure of playing at Bazemore- Hyder a couple of years ago I had the chance to see Jay Rome and Malcolm Mitchell. Last year when Lowndes was here we got to see plenty of Josh Harvey Clemons. Hopefully we can see all three play for a national title this year.

Shout out to my Blue Devils for a great season. 8-4 this year after these guys went 2-8 as sophomores my senior year 2 years ago is a big turnaround. Lovejoy’s defense was the real deal and our line couldn’t protect Anthony Jennings and they deserve all the hype. Good luck to Lovejoy the rest of the way. I thought if we could win at Lowndes we surely would beat Lovejoy.

Lowndes had a sold year as i said after the loss last week. 9-2 . i honestly thought this team would be a 7-3 team.. No superstars, just a good solid team. for whatever reason we were dead most allnight against marietta. Anthony jennings could do no wrong. Every throw was right on target, he made no mistakes. you cant let one man beat you though…that is on the coaches and we are better than that.
I am already looking forward to next year. Wish it never ended. Colquitt will need a run game at some point to win a game if they want to make it to state

OK only bk !!! Lowndes has been gone for a week; but now we are to hear about what next years team will do… Was this not your song and dance last year too? Lowndes is good progran with a lot of talent but the last couple of years they were beaten before the semi’s this year the first round… just wait till next year to start the Lowndes is going to win the National championship talk….Lowndes is currently in Basketball season… and there were many to join them tonight…. marietta fan….you guys beat lowndes fair and square. hang your heads high. Lowndes was much better than they played against marietta, but yall won and that is all that matters. yall had a good year and a solid team . Bc of yall we are sitting at home. Lol. We were more dead than we had been at anytime all year. Just lethargic, Lang and burgman…are 2 best players who may have been 75% were the only 2 who showed up to play it seemed,.
