There are some interesting predictions on the winners and some interesting predictions on scores! There are some serious mismatches if these play out this way.

Fred, the first round is #1 seed vs. #4 seed. Mismatches obviously happen in first round. Like in life, %*it happens so stay tuned for upsets.

@Seen a few – I am well aware of the #1 vs #4 matchups. While I would hope that there be a closer match, I know all too well that some regions are weaker overall and even within some regions there is a pretty wide disparity between #1 and #4. It is still startling to see a 40 point spread or even a 30 point spread between teams I would have expected to be closer. I also tend to consider spreads of 5 points or less to be a toss up.

We will pass the ball on Stephenson, this game will be closer then you think. Pope wins 21-18

I hear ya Fred. I guess this just points out that a geographic region is not a perfect alignment for parity.

Norcross is picked to win over Chattahoochee by 26, If I were a betting man I would take this one. This will tell what Ncross… is made of…
I don’t think they are all that, No disrespect intended……
They beat N. Gwinett to win their region but IMO this will be one of the many upsets if you can call it that tomorrow night..

Remember Chatt. beat West Forsyth, 29-28 at home, that is the only game they lost..

Lassiter vs. Brookwood -18 I konw that Bwood has an off season compared to the last few years, but they have been here before.. don’t see them losing by this many and may upset Lassiter.

CC is picked to win over McE. by 5.. IMO it will be more like 25.

Be some good fball tomorrow night… I pray all traveling mercies, and to all the players praying also that none will get hurt…..

THE "CANNON RULES"!!

Well the COUNTDOWN CLOCK is running down for all of us…12 hours to Kickoffs!!!

All this blogging fun we all been having MEANS NOTHING as the kids take over and the games actually get played! GOOD LUCK to everyone and may they all be safe played, injury free games tonight! Everyone also DRIVE SAFE!

Hard schedules, Easy schedules, pancake regions, they played nobody, we got more D-1 prospects than anybody, you’ve never won a State title, we never get any press coverage, best ball is played South of Macon, North of Macon, we have the biggest stadium, etc. All this means NOTHING at this point!!

In my opinion all the teams that made it to this step in the playoffs deserve to be where they are. These kids have worked hard all year to get this chance and as someone else posted, for many this will be the LAST time they ever suit up to play football.

Looking forward to see CLARKE CENTRAL tonight in “THE BONEYARD” as EAST PAULDING’s RAIDERS take the first step toward the DOME!

@ JAB…

Your games not until tomorrow night (STEPHENSON / POPE) so come on out to Dallas tonight and
see for yourself the hill STEPHENSON will have to climb NEXT week IF they get past POPE! Wear your STEPHENSON stuff and we’ll spot you (I am still rolling at your post “look for me at the POPE / STEPHENSON game…a good looking bald headed black guy, sitting around the 50 yd line…isn’t that like me saying meet me at a NASCAR race just look for a white dude under the Rebel Flag!..LOL!) I got plenty of BELLS, I’ll loan you one to ring for the RAIDERS!! Give you a chance to see “THE CANNON”!! up close! as it fires ALL NIGHT!!! I promise you’ll have a good time!

REGION 5 goes 2 / 2 TONIGHT! EAST & ALLATOONA win..NORTH loses a close one & ROME loses BIG!!
REGION 6 goes 2 / 2 TONIGHT! (could EASILY be only 1 / 3) M.L.K. & TUCKER win…STEPHENSON & S.W.D. lose! the WILDCARD game…TUCKER / CREEKVIEW, one bad turnover…one bad call…and CREEKVIEW pulls off the upset!

TICK…TICK…TICK…BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
GO RAIDERS!!!
2012 REGION 5 AAAAA CHAMPIONS!…ON TO THE DOME!!!!

I at least hope sequoyah has a entertaining band.. IF NOT we’ll just have to be entertained by ours.. But its nothin like a band rivalry and a football rivalry all at one tyme..I will say alot of the teams in 6-5A have many great band programs as well..
