Definitely won’t be easy but if we keep playing the way we have, I think we can go far. I told some people that while we might be weaker at a couple of positions, I think the overall team this year might be better than last year. I still don’t know what happened vs Parkview but that loss sure did help up get focused!

Interesting, predicting Mill Creek over Alpharetta in round 1. I do not know much about Mill Creek so I will not question the pick. But I was looking at a potential Lassiter/Printz vs Alpharetta/Dobbs 2nd round matchup thinking that would be fun to watch (assuming Lassiter still came out on top).

Todd Holcomb-The Norcross faithful would like a written apology on December 16th for the lack of respect that you have shown to the best team in the state of Georgia. It does not have to be long, but a simple I apolgize, I was wrong and I do not know what I could have been thinking not to have Norcross number 1 all year and then picking Camden to beat them in the quarterfinals. Again, I apologize to the best team in the state of Georgia. Sincerely, Todd Holcomb

I agree 100% on this years TEAM being better than last years, especially on the defensive side of the ball. We may be a little less talented at a few positions but I think those guys have stepped up and we honsetly havent missed a beat other than imo a mental lapse in the Parkview game. It will be a tough row to hoe but I have confidence they can repeat the mission.

Marietta has a talented quarterback and receivers. North Cobb has a talented quarterback who is a triple threat with speedy receivers and a pretty good defense. McEachern has a stable of swift backs and a stout defense. These teams should provide some good competition to Region 1.

Heinsenberg: Regarding the pick by Holcomb of Mill Creek over Alpharetta, it is more than likely based on 2 reasons:
– The quality of teams in Region 7 is considered to higher than Region 6 so picking #3 seed to beat #2 seed is not surprising (actually surprised that Holcomb did not pick Collins Hill to beat West Forsyth)
– Alpharetta’s only regular season loss last year was to Mill Creek (at Alpharetta) by the score of 42-7. Mill Creek only went 5-5 last year and didn’t make the playoffs in Region 7.

I’m not even sure why Lowndes is in the playoffs. We looked like girls when Camden beat us. Seems the only way we can beat a good team is if we cheat. I’m seriously thinking about moving to Tifton and becoming a Tift fan. I’m ashamed of our coaches for cheating, our fans for supporting the cheaters and our team for not showing up against Camden. HS Football, thanks for the insights.
I suppose depending on the roster turnover from last year, that could be a meaningful barometer. I do find it curious though when someone postulates how well a team will perform this year based on what happened several years ago. Are they not aware that the rosters have churned over a few times since then?

Colquitt beat Camden Friday night. Colquitt has beaten Camden 2 out of the last 3 times by 2 points. It could end that way again. Don’t see it happening. I think Colquitt’s biggest problem is over confidence. Keep picking them to lose and they will win. If Camden and Colquitt meet again the story will be much different. Rd 1 Norcross vs S Gwinnett….Norcross will win this game by 2 tds at least. Game is at Norcorss and unless Norcorss has an off night…south has no shot. Norcorss has the better defense and better playmakers. It took a miracle for south gwinnett to come back and beat Parkview…..no disrespect to Parkview ..they do have a good defense but parkviews offense is not explosive. Norcross has the better running game by a long shot and that will be the x factor as this is the time of year where it becomes more important to have a good running game. South can pull the upset if norcross doesnt come ready to play and makes mistakes but norcross simply just has to many athletes and playmakers for south to overcome if that doesnt happen. I understand this was last year…but the awful region 5 had two teams in the semis. And before you mention the blowout to Grayson in the finals, I get it…they are beastly. However, you have to give credit to the competition in the region. Especially when Lassiter was a 4 seed because they lost to Etowah who lost to West Forsyth in the final seconds of the first round. The same West Forsyth team who beat Hillgrove — who beat the unstoppable Camden. Let’s face it, while it may bother you to admit it…they are beginning to play some really good football somewhere other than north Florida and Gwinnett county.

However, anyone who really knows football will say that the referees we absolutely terrible. Camden got the rawl deal on MANY calls that had a significant impact on the game. I respectfully disagree on the Raider – Mill Creek analysis. Last year, John Russ was a 3rd yr starter for Mill Creek and put on a triple option clinic. That game was also Josh Dobbs’ first start ever and he threw 6 picks before figuring out how to read the defenses. This year should be a much fairer fight. Raiders win if we can stop the run.

@ Colquitt Fan. It was not a dropped pass. Only the refs called it that way. Camden was in complete control of that game, leading by 7 to 10 points the entire game. In my determination, that game was stolen. Let me say this, and not aimed at you, but why do I keep hearing that Colquitt owns Camden, Propst owns Herron. What a crock. Packers win two in a row over my Cats and they own them? Lets go back one more game, Camden wins that one I believe 20-3 in Kingsland in the playoffs a few years back and quite possibly they may have won the game prior to that vs Packers. If that the case then, we 2-2 vs each other. The only thing that is owned in this state is that Coach Herron and his system owns this state. His system and the way he conducts himself and his team is the envy of the entire state.

It was a sideline warning, you do get a warning, it was after we forced a turnover when Camden was deep in our territory and some of the defensive coaches got a little excited. Understandable, it was a huge play. And it was incidental contact, they basically ran into each other going for the ball. The PI call on Camden was blatant however, looked like DB pretty much tackled Bobby hill trying to save a TD

Camden was in complete control that whole game from my perspective, even when the game got down to 2 points lead. What I was saying was last years game, we were in control as well, always up 7 points and threatening to go up by 14 the entire game. How that game was lost I am still trying to figure that one out. With all that said, I still pull for all of region 1 AAAAAA throughout the playoffs except when they play my mighty Cats……Big, powerful, fast, quick, disciplined, well coached, patient, sturdy, steady as she goes, fundamentally sound in every aspect of the game, good, real real good and the envy of the entire state.

That Colquitt/McEachern is the best game of the week. That game Colquitt played on Friday was very emotional and 16-17 year old kids have a tendency to let down following big wins. McEachern has enough athletes to play make the game with Colquitt interesting. In Colquitts two toughest games on the road against N. Gwinnett and Valdosta they have had 8 turnovers. I do agree if Colquitt wins this game and can get through the travel, they should be in the semifinals.

if u want to see one of the worst missed calls in last years playoffs…watch the LOVEJOY AND WARE GAME…fast forward to lovejoys 1st drive of the 3rd qtr when they were down on wares 6 yd line and its 3rd and 1………that was the biggest false start in high school football history that was never called, The fullback took of running before the ball was snapped….it was so obvious. warer had a lot of players playing both ways in that game as well…..the run that custis broke off in the 2nd half ….that wont happen on lowndes. i feel lowndes can shut lovejoy out after watching them on film…marietta first …then i get to prove my point in rd 2
lowndes rotates guys in and out on d.they wont tire like ware did…..
when lovejoy has played a good defensive team…they have not scored much ..tucker (7) Colquitt (7) ware,,which is ok on d….not great (14)…..lowndes will be the best lovejoy has seen if we beat marietta…..
lovejoy has a very good defense…i am not concerned with their offense

Raiderfan – good memory on the 6 picks that Dobbs threw last yr (no one in the media ever seems to mention that glaring stat). One little correction on the MC qb Russ – he actually suffered a concussion in the 2nd qtr & didn’t finish the first half or the rest of the game vs Alpha. MC defense had 2 pick 6 tds but the real difference was the dominace of our Off-line vs Alph D-line. MCs Off-line this yr is bigger (avg 6′3 / 265) and more athletic – better than last yrs line. MCs rush offense has rushed for over 3300 yds / 41 tds – Total Offense 4400 yds / 53 tds (leads Gwinnett County). Alpharetta will be challenged to slow down MCs Offense. MCs Def held Collins Hll spread to 14 pts last week. MC scored 41 pts on Norcross. Norcross was happy to get out with a win(49-41). Should be an exciting game.

In both games lowndes and Camden, valdosta went away from their bread and butter which is the run game. Valdosta can move the ball through the air but drops have killed the cats! He also converted the 2 pt conversion and had a few big runs himself and burgman #21 was the mvp of the game…i believe he had over 75 yds recieveing…caught a 20 yd td pass and ran fro over 130 yds……yes they were in the game…and their presence was felt

Winnersville has become a bad joke. Lowndes and Valdosta don’t last through the first round. Lassiter rolls over the no longer buckin’ Broncos, Mill Creek, and Hughes. Camden won’t make the final. Rush has gotten into their heads now, and they know they’re going to lose before they take the field. Final game – Trojans vs. Packers. Lassiter avenges Hudson Mason and wins it all!

@region4fan, I totally agree with you. I believe that region4 will give region1 some good competition friday night. If Colquitt can run the ball with power & consistency then McEachern may be in trouble, very young group of talented athletes over there. Lowndes D will have their hands full with the mobile qb from Marietta. I do believe Valdosta will be able to upset North Cobb as long as they take care of the football on offense & limit big plays on defense. Hillgrove drove the distance a couple of years ago & upset Camden, not sure if this will happen again.

@TommyTrojan, listen you couldn’t possibly understand the pride & tradition that takes place down in Winnersville. Lassiter has given no one any reason to believe that they’ll win it all. If you haven’t read any of the other posts on this blog, please take the time & do so. Several people have stated that defense wins championship. That’s the philosophy of region1 & believe it or not region8 bought into it a long time ago, & region4 is getting the idea, Lassiter can continue to put up BIG numbers on offense, but until Lassiter decides to learn to play defense it won’t matter.

@96Plowboy27: McEachern’s QB Griffin can throw the ball too. Just when you think it’s a run they throw deep.It is hard to stop one good back and they have five that can run and two have got some real speed.I think the North Cobb offense will score some points. The question is will the defense hold off Valdosta. I think North Cobb’s QB is better . I have seen the ball flutter when Valdosta’s QB goes long. That could be a problem if they need to pass. I think Marietta will score too but I don’t know about the defense. Hiilgrove has no chance against Camden unless they turn the ball over a lot. My problem is I have seen all the Region 4 teams but only seen video of the Region 1 teams. It is hard for me to judge speed and size on film.

@region4fan, I know all to well about McEachern’s dual threat QB’s, i’ve seen McEachern play 3 times this year. Very impressed with the entire team’s overall athleticism. #14 starts, but in my eyes #7 is the deadly weapon (really impressed with his speed). #85 is truly a deep threat, especially when in the slot, he can get up the seem real quick. Defensively #24 is by far the best athlete non that squad. I really like his game.
North Cobb defense against Valdosta’s offense should be intriguing. NC defense was able to stop Walton earlier in the season, (but we both know that’s a one man show) but had trouble against South Cobb & their offense ( I saw that game in person). Valdosta will have a 1-2 punch in the backfield & they look to be more balanced with their offense.
I’ve heard that Marietta has a high-powered offense, but their defense never adjusts to anything. If Marietta has any trouble stopping the run, then it’ll be a long night for them (& that’s not including the drive). I’m not so sure if Marietta has seen that type of speed on defense. (McEachern defense is comparable).
Not enough playmakers over there at Hillgrove to make me even think they can upset Camden. Plus Camden has revenge on their minds. Not a close ball game I.M.O.

@DevilFanatic lol very funny. here’s a little secret from south ga. defense is just as much a part of the game plan as is offense. a great deal of time is put in on the defensive game plan. a player has to earn the right to play on defense & we take pride in developing the best 11 that we can put on the field. we don’t need any stolen signals to beat anyone b/c we understand how important defense is. You continue to stick with your Cobb Tradition & we’ll continue to earn championships. Ask region8 how believing in defense worked out for them……….. I’ll take our tradition!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Falconguy…you must have forgotten that Lassiter made it to the semis last year; further than all but one of the teams you mentioned. We did that after playing a similar region schedule. I can assure you our boys & Coaches know what they’re up against & they will step up & play with the best of them. The only team that gets credit for having been to ‘the dance’ & it be of any additional benefit is Grayson & Walton, but Walton is without Tyren Jones; so they’ll be an early out.

I bet 15 flags were thrown on colquitt and the last 2 were horrible. Colquitt deserved to win the game…..and in my opinion they beat grayson on the filed….take away the bs calls and grayson loses. A lot of the flags were legit guys but there were sevaral that were just awful and a lot of missed calls on grayson. Just my opinion. I went back and paused and replayed several plays and it was obvious that there were no fouls….just another example of how the ghsa screws the south…..dont think for onr min that it doesnt go on…..where the ghsa tells the officials to make it tough on the south….they dont want us southern boys winning all the titles

Well, I wrote this really cool response to bksmith14 about his masterful if not totally incorrect assessment of our game last year and the blog ate it!
@bksmith14 – If that is your understanding of high school football rules then no wonder you always feel you got the short end of the stick. By the way, the Packers had either 10 or 11 penalties that night while the Rams had 17. You say it all the time but have no proof of any conspiracy to keep the south Ga teams down. Good football is played by teams from all over the state and the south Ga teams need to accept that. Just because your team loses doesn’t mean the GHSA is out to get you!

It was obvious that one of Colquits kids was coached to throw a chop block at Graysons running back last year on the opening kickoff. That is dirty and should not be taught to these kids.Even one of the commentators mentioned it during the championship while Gallman limped around the field. Might as well be New Orleans over there in CC. Then they cry for almost an entire year. And people wonder why the coach and the school are disliked.

Congratulations GHSA you fools. You let the south Ga schools ram this 6 classification system down our throat and walah Camden County snags the easy path to 6a semis. Meanwhile schools in North Atlanta with 2000 students face Gwinnett mega schools with 3400 students and you call that fair.
The real beauty is the thing you tried to fix A class and they have a world class CF where schools traditionally out are in via “power ratings” not record on the field. Swearinger and the GHSA board is a corrupt bunch of thugs bought and sold by the privies and mega-schools.

The South Georgia schools rammed the six classification system down our throats? I think not! Really, what advantage did we in S. Georgia gain? Valdosta with less than 2,000 enrollment still plays the same schools, plus Camden, with 3,000 students. Camden was moved out of a patsy region into a very strong region, stiffening its road through the regular season and the playoffs. I don’t see where you’re from with respect to AAAAAA.
As for class A. How the GHSA wicker end that playoff system makes absolutely no sense, as you suggest. How can a team a better record miss out over two teams they beat who made the playoffs? Crazy!

Well I like Propst and the teams that he has put together over the years and the one he has now and next year. The guy simply does more with less and he gets the most out of his team every year. Yes we do have kids going to college every year under propst but outside of The 2010 team with Tevin King and co we don’t have D-1 prospects at most of our skilled positions on a regular with elite speed to change a game like JJ green or T.Jones on one play but thats what makes us hard to prepare for.Don’t get me wrong we have talent year in and year out but since we can’t out run some good teams with our offense it is the play calling that gives us the edge in most games. Heck most of the time its our turnovers not the other team that really kills us.In games against Camden and Lowndes and even Lovejoy their defenses were very hard to out run unless u have a guy or guys with elite speed. So in order to have a chance to win these games, the only edge u have is coaching and sometimes thats not enough but it does give u a shot in the end.I would rather have a shot in the end than to get blew out anyday.Well anyway when u guys finally stop looking at Propst then u will see that we are a really good team and even without elite speed on that side of the ball we don’t get blown out either but good luck to all in the playoffs. One day we will get a miltary base and then we can get some of those elite players but until then we have Rush and as of right now i for one am happy with it. Just glad he is on our team cause i would not want my team to have to play against him. Good luck region 1 give em @#$!!!

I see everybody wants to count out the Cobb Teams.. news flash, IF GRAYSON DONT PREPARE FOR WHEELER, THEY WILL GET UPSET! Wheeler is a sleeping beast. they have a 6′7 QB that can slang the hell out of the ball and a lot of playmakers to go with him. North Cobb will beat Valdosta. Lassiter will be in the Championship.

Forealtho.., I hear you on Wheeler. Was impressed with their playmakers and speed on offense when they played Lassiter. But the Wheeler defense is gonna get run over by the Grayson running game. One thing I noticed when Wheeler played Lassiter, was with the QB that tall and the center kept snapping the ball at his ankles all night it was just a matter of time before one rolls past his legs. And sure enough it did. Better tighten that up.

@ Forealtho..
Grayson went down that road once this year going into the Parkview game. Trust me that will not happen this week. As far as the 6′ 7″ QB slinging the ball that is going to be difficult to do running for his life or lying on his back. Looking forward too the challenge. Never Satisfied!

@Heisenberg You are correct about that center QB excange.. I think that was the first time that happened all season. Wheelers Defensive line is suspect. But if the Coach would play the 2 strongest guys on the team on the defensive line, they will be just fine. The starting right guard and the left tackle are monsters on Defense.. If the coach would gamble, I actually think they have a chance.I dont think it will be a blowout. I think Wheeler’s offense will keep them in the game. IF THE COACH DONT HOLD THEM BACK! LOL.. Just Rammin, I am telling you the Wheeler QB is not just a tall dude. He is fast, athletic, and can throw. I only saw them play against Lassiter but receivers showed good hands and made a few catches in traffic that make for good highlight reel plays. They got 2 pint size runners that are really fast. Wheeler will get some big yardage plays. But I doubt enough to keep it close in the second half.

@just rammin.. I hear you but he has only been sacked 3 times this year. They played Milton with Lawson he was only able to get to him 1Time! In my opinion, Lawson’s motor is better than The big D-end that you guys have. It will be interesting to see.. 6′7 QB is extremly mobile and very hard to sack.As a 10th grader he was only sacked 4 times. If you force him to leave the pocket, he will burn you for 20yds everytime..make sure your Defensive backs are ready. Not saying they will beat you guys but it wont be a blowout. They have quite a few D-1 prospects on that team.

I will be honest I have not seen Wheeler play this year. I don’t doubt your assesment as I have no basis to dispute what you say. @just Rammin & Heisenberg Trust me guys, im not saying by no means that they will beat them. Im just saying, they cant play around with this team. If they had better Coaching, then it would be different. They are 6-4 but they could easily be 8-2 or even 9-1. Just be careful with them. They beat a very good Hughes team that didnt lose another game and finished 9-1.

@Heisenberg well look at it like this. Only on certain downs. just like they use their big D-end to run the ball. He gets worn down too. You are rite about Wheeler trying to run the ball. The backs are just to all. Lets hope the Coach uses his strenths, which is passing. He need to run the QB more. He only runs when he scrambles.. And he dont roll him out that much. @Dawgma…Your numbers for Gwinnett schools are not correct and your argument does not hold water. Prime example…You should take a gander at the North Gwinnett sidelines when they play Mill Creek, Norcross, Grayson, Colquitt etc and tell me what you notice…Other AAAAAA schools in Gwinnett barely have 80 players on their varsity roster. Student population is not the issue…recruiting at the high school level is the issue. Their are only a handful of AAAAAA schools in Gwinnett that can be considered “Mega”.
BTW NG has around 2,850 students currently enrolled. Just because Mill Creek has the largest student population in the state does not mean all of Gwinnett County high schools consist of the same.

Grayson’s defense plays at whole different level than those Fulton and Cobb defenses Wheeler has faced. No one ever talks about all the other studs they have all over the defensive front and back field. They define the word defensive unit. They don’t miss tackles, they don’t miss interceptions, and they literally beat the offense to the ball. When they hit the ball carrier I’m sure it feels like all 11 guys are making the hit. I hate playing them, but love watching them go to work. The speed of their game is unlike anything that “giant” Qb has ever seen trust me. Experience with these Rams is the only way to make some one a believer. The game probably will NOT be close because once the Ram’s offense gets the ball…it’s keep away time. And they have made their living perfecting that strategy. Ne

grayson has played 1 team all year who had what i call a good defense….and that was parkview. Mceacherns defense is ok but parkviews is better.
graysons defense is very very good, but they can be scored on…colquitt scored 31 on them last year at grayson and lowndes 17 (lowndes worst team since 06)
outside of region 1, i dont feel any other team has a very good shot at beating grayson.
nghs09….i hope you guys dont overlook john creek…they have a good team. if you get past them , i hope you guys can beat grayson, north gwinnett has a pretty good defense and that qb yall have should be able to make a few plays if the north o line can give him a lil time, but haynes does more damage on the run. North has a shot…i would give it a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10…anything can happen
the only other north team that i feel cd maybe give grayson a run would be norcross, but i dont see them beating camden or colquitt
camden..lowndes..colquitt…these 3 have the defense to force grayson to go 3 and out as well…it would be a game of speacial teams and field position most likely
colquitt has nowhere near the running game they had last year and they dont have the tight end who went to UGA anymore either…that will hurt them b4 its over
Lowndes will have their hands full fri night with marietta and then lovejoy will be a very tough task should we beat marietta which i see us doing. I feel good about lowndes chances to get to 3rd rd at least where it will meet most likely grayson ,,if not north gwinnett. I would rather play north gwinnett…be nice to see the 2 schools play each other again..it would be a closer game this time

I only saw Grayson on TV against Archer and it looked liked they were playing their entire roster “in the box”. OK maybe not the entire roster but that is probably how it looked to Archer. Not sure whether that was because Archer is not a good enough passing team or if Grayson just did not care if they were. It sure looked suffocating to the run and short passing game. You are probably not gonna beat Grayson with 15 play 80 yard drives. But a balanced offense with a QB that can hit the intermediate to deep routes could be able to do some damage.

Colquitt Fan…when playing a very good defense….colquitt is not as explosive as last year…the only chance colquitt has of making it to semis or going to dome is if the colquitt defense shows up every game…..bc colquitt is not as explosive on offense this year..not even close…hill was on the team last year…sure he is very good. losing ty smith was a huge loss…as was losing woodyard who was a much better back than boatwright..and losing luna and shermaine also was huge….
lowndes held colquitt to 7 pts (offensively) lovejoy (14) camden (13)….
last year colquitt scored 34 on lowndes…32 on camden and 31 on grayson
the colquitt offense is not what it was last year…
i still give colquitt a good shot to make it to semis….easy draw after mceachern is a BIG reason why. all this talk about how colquitt does well in playoffs…..its true…yall have done well in the past with tough draws,,,,but this year its rather easy until the semis for colquitt
the defense for colquitt has to show up ..if they do then colquitt can play with anyone

They held us (lowndes ) in check also….lowndes shot themselve in the foot a lot in that game, but colquitts d was tough

You’re right, not arguing that our offense is as good as last year. But Lowndes or Camden didn’t have defenses last yea and we had our way with them. Grayson’s defense was good but not great last year IMO, we threw all day on them. All those teams and Lovejoy has good defenses this year. Oline play was our problem against Lowndes, not playmakers. Colquitt is an oline away from being the best team in the state. But our offense has been clicking since that 4th quarter against Valdosta where we scored 3 TDs in 3 minutes, dominated Coffee, and beat Camden. I know Camden left a few points on the board but we stalled inside their 35 at least 5 times and missed 2 FGs. We left a good bit on the board also. Our kicker is very good this year, he missed two against Camden but they were long ones, like 48 yards long. While Luna had the leg, they were only a couple of yards out of Vega’s range. He was 6-8 on FGs before that game

The location of the Norcross – Camden game (if we both make it that far which needs to be played on the field, not in this forum) will be decided by a coin flip. The winner of that flip will be the favorite in the game by a couple of points… Norcross has won big road games at South, North, Mill Creek, Collins Hill, Peachtree Ridge as well as a season-opening LIVE real scrimmage on the road in Moultrie to start the season… I like our chances at home or on the road…

Dang, I missed the best debates today! It appears that non Grayson people have been standing in for us today and I appreciate it.
@Forealtho.. – I hear your arguments and understand why you make them. I will say that we have been up against some tall and athletic QBs this year. Just Rammin took the words out of my mouth. They haven’t had many opportunities to be accurate while running for their life. Yes, on occasion they have gotten loose but not often and not for long.
I really think our D is better this year than last. bksmith14 doesn’t think Robert is all that and Forealtho.. also thinks their lineman is as good. I don’t doubt he is good but as someone said, when Robert is in the game the game changes. You *have* to account for him and as often as not it take two or three to do so. That frees other players up to harass the ball carrier. If you break off from Robert, he picks up the pursuit. His numbers were better last year before D coordinators got a handle on taking him out of the play. But like I said, taking him out of the play means other Grayson guys who are very, very good are now free to do their thing.
A Wheeler fan or two on one of the other blogs haven’t been very complimentary. I guess within 24 hours we will know how it payed out. Safe travels to all and safe games!

ga fan……2 yrs ago….that will go down in histroy as the biggest screw job in high school football ever. The famous “clockeeper” and the phantom timeout mceachern called they never had (it was granted) That game was over before mceachern got to the 35 of lowndes..that was simply a rigged deal…that if the game came down to that situation…that someone was going to help mceachern….the clock stooped working all of a sudden….the phantom timeout….and the qb stepped out of bounds b4 ball crossed plain….the game should have long been over. Everyone in the whole state knows we got shafted except the ignorant mceachern fans that didnt want to believe it…
last year…we just lost ..plain and simple to mceachern…and we had the worst team lowndes has had since 06…..we got a lot better though as year went on…glad we did or grayson would have beat us a lot worse than 8 i imagine.
i got a lot of satisfaction out of the valdosta wildcats going to mceachern in 2010 and beating them…after what happened to us up there……..and we beat the cats at valdosta that year.

Last year, you guys stomped Dacula – but you couldn’t beat them at home when it mattered…North has a swim against a strong current, but anything is possible. I wish you guys the best, I just hope the old Norcross does not show up. The good teams will make adjustments and figure out what needs to be done to win. I will admit that the five teams that could have come out of R1 6A are all good teams. Colquitt will bring the house and young Mc will too. If we limit the turnovers and stay healthy, Mc wins by 7. Good luck to all the teams in the first round of the playoffs. Go McEachern!!!!
