Longest streaks of region championships

Calhoun and Camden County have extended their streaks of region championships to 12 this season. Lincoln County holds the record for consecutive region titles with 17. Below are schools that have won five consecutive region titles. Gainesville can win a fifth straight with a victory over Flowery Branch this week.

10 – Carrollton (1959-68), Palmetto (1980-89), Warner Robins (1988-97)

8 – Buford (2001-08), Greenville (1979-86)

7 – Buford (1978-84), Charlton County (1994-2000), Gainesville (1966-72), Lincoln County (2003-09), Valdosta (1986-92)

6 – Adairsville (1968-73), Carrollton (1970-75), Carver-Columbus (2007-12), Decatur (1948-1953), Landmark Christian (2002-07), Marist (1987-92), Monticello (1962-67), Rome (2001-06)

5 – Clarke Central (1982-86), Hart County (1997-01), LaGrange (2000-04), Lovett (1992-96), McEachern (1989-93), Rossville (1958-62), Sandy Creek (2008-12), Shaw (1999-2003), Southwest DeKalb (1986-90), Washington-Wilkes (1960-64)

McEachern also won 5 in a row 1995-99 to make 10 out of 11 overall.

Cc son Calhoun are the active leaders, and Calhoun is at 92 strait game, a record
