We need more coverage on the perfect Heard County team. Big game next Friday v. Bowden for playoff position. Good teams and good athletes.

You’re right Dwayne,, Seems like the AJC only cares about big Atlanta high schools sports stories.

Calhoun? You guys play football up there… Calhoun? Oh wait, it’s coming to me….you guys are the team that has made it to the championship game 4 years in a row and finally beat Buford last year, correct????

Just messing with you…you guys are having another great season. Good luck in the playoffs…should be an easy run with no Buford to get in the way!

Hey Dwayne. How many newspapers do you guess get sold in Bowdon on Saturdays?

Foodfight, Bowdon is a small town in Carroll County and Heard is a huge county. Both are semi-rural but every convenience store in both counties sell the AJC. If you ask the AJC I’m sure Carroll County as a whole has huge sales. Dewayne said Heard and Bowdon, just comparing sales in down town Bowdon would be like saying how many papers are sold in Roswell or Dunwoody. Does everything come down to the dollar? Most football fans enjoy following all the teams across the state that are competitive. The Atlanta area loves to classify us as part of the metro area when it is convenient to their cause but often A or AA schools aren’t even acknowled unless they are big money schools in the Atlanta area.Dewayne, one of those schools maybe playing Lovett in the second round if they and Lovett win round one. I’m sure that game will be covered.

DAWGFAN, I assume you were being facetious when you said Heard County was huge. There is spirit in that county that rivals any large, metro county. We go to our grandsons’ games and are amazed at how many more people show up for games than their opponents. It’s too bad the AJC gives Westminster and Lovett the spotlight and ignores a team with a 9-0 record.
