Northside WR the only team to give Camden a game? Like the one you gave them in the dome? Stop it.

Carver Columbus wins it 26-17 and it was not as close as the score. Peach was dominated.

Carver-Columbus took it to us and defeated Peach Co. Good Game. Hopefully we get a chance to make amends during the playoffs.

Tonight a whole bunch of teams in AAAA are praying that Sandy Creek is on the other side of the playoff brackets.

@ VikingTillEye “I just don’t understand why everyone thinks Camden can move the ball on Lowndes with their lock down corners and stout D line.” “Bottom line.I just haven’t been that impressed with Camden.” Uhmmmm…Convinced yet?

Coffee plays Valdosta next week and if they win and Colquitt loses those 3 teams will be tied. Colquitt will have beaten Coffee, Coffee over Valdosta, and Valdosta over Colquitt. How will the region determine the two teams that go to the playoffs?

Well for all of the folks in region 1 who felt that Camden would not win the region. Boy, what a game tonight. For those who like passing football and scoring lots of points with no defense this was not a game for you. Job well done Camden. You still have Colquitt next week, so you could win out. By the way dportsnut, your name fits you.

@ the truth – Region one decides ties by the number of points each team has given up to all other teams in the region. The team that has given up the least would be the 3rd seed. The team that gave up the second least would be the third seed.

Congratulations MLK on your Region Championship over Tucker….however, I would like to suggest that the Defensive team work very hard to improve your game if we are to advance deep into the playoffs…and hopefully to the State Championship game.
I would also strongly encourage the coaching staff to bury the ‘On Side Kick’ play…it doesn’t work 99% of the time….AND had they not called that play Tucker never would have gotten their last touchdown making the final score 24-17.
With that said…great game! Looking forward to next week’s Miller Grove!
I agree

Camden does look beatable. A good spread offense and a defense that can stop the run. I believe those wildcats will have trouble

Great season for Chamblee but you see now having wins over weak competition does not prepare you for a perennial playoff team like Marist.

@yo, it is clear to me you don’t understand football. Camden executed a good game plan and had no turnovers. Were they perfect? No. A lot of penalties and mistakes. Are they beatable? We will see. This was a DEFENSIVE game just like we all knew it would be. Go watch it again and learn something.

Gridiron, if Carver does not eliminate the mistakes and penalties, they may not make it out of the 1st round. If they do that, they are darn good.

Big game next week at “The BoneYard” what could be #3 East Paulding and #6 Allatoon(maybe?) . Guessing Allatoona moves up over Tucker and Gainesville anyways.

I hate teams that only run and cant pass.. Once your behind its over. That why i didn’t pick lowndes. A team like lassiter, grayson, norcross would of made that espnu game a lot closer

“Camden executed a good game plan and had no turnovers.” That is why Camden is so good in the playoffs. It does not guarantee wins, but they will usually not beat themselves.

Good job Camden, even though most folks gave you chance to win region 1 this year, congrats on your first region 1 championship. Your defense is the real deal. Lowndes good game, like I said earlier you have to play error free to beat Camden. Yards were hard to come by, by both teams. Lowndes and Camden are mirror images of one another. Both look to be a challenge for anyone. Even though Lang and Burgman were sidelined, I still think that it would have been the same outcome. We will never know. Camden still has a big game next week, so the off week will favor Lowndes in getting back to full strength. Coach Mac glad you were looking ahead to the playoffs to give your guy’s time to heal. Took a lot to make that decision, maybe not the most popular one, but a good coaching decision. I believe Lowndes will make a run in the playoffs. The defense is real.

The review is clear. 6A is wide open. Camden is not, I repeat not unbeatable. Lowndes is what it is, a team uncapable of coming back. Tonight I saw what is supposed to be two of the best in 6A. I was utterly dissapointed with both teams as a whole. The Wing T is old and has it’s merits but you must have a secondary plan of attack. Neither of these teams showed it has what it takes to be a champion in Georgia High School football, especially the highest class. What I witnessed was a battle of wills. No athletic ability came into question. These teams are not top calibre. The playoffs will tell much and all will be surprised as to the out come of many games in 6A.

This happens every year. A team from the south will play a team from the north and it will beat closer game than of their region games down south. It happens every year in the playoffs. i wouldn’t count out the 4th seed that camden will probably play first round.

@eaglenationrising listening to your drivel is old. Northside WR is good (Now)(Zoning has been good to that side of town) enjoy your success because it will be short lived.( See Macon Georgia roadmap). NHS has more bones stuck in there neck from choking than most schools, so enjoy your ride and learn to win with pride.

Grayson, Norcross, North Gwinnett, Mill Creek, South Gwinnett could/should beat the two top Region 1 teams that I saw tonight. Grayson and Norcross are much better football teams than the Camden or Lowndes team. Much Better!
