Lassiter beats Roswell 28-14. Region 5-6A champions. 2nd region championship in school history.
They ran it down Roswell’s throat to run out the last 3+ min. Shahid got every carry for Lassiter I believe on that clock-milking drive.
Have a couple things to work on. Penalties didn’t seem to be a huge issue tonight which is good. Had some mental errors on blown coverages and some sloppy tackling. Got 1 more game to get tuned up for what will hopefully be a long playoff run.
Just need Camden and Grayson to stay on that opposite side of the bracket. Don’t want to see them until the Dome if the teams are lucky enough.

Sportsnut..congratulations, you are the winner of the “most absurd post of the night”…..Camden and Lowndes are not impressive because it is a defensive game?….I guess the same could be said for Alabama and LSU since they have low scoring affairs as well…stop it.

I tell you, I hope that Bryan Way gets a lifetime contract at Warner Robins. For the third time in four years, his Warner Robins Demons have trailed Northside by 3 touchdowns. He was forced to scrap his triple option and weak game plan. They have been forced to throw the ball due to a lopsided scoreboard, then they have excelled with superior athletes. I love Bryan Way!

You were calling me, Truth. I just thought that game was over. Then we were sweating (a little bit). Remember, we led Warner Robins 20-0 in 2009. Those guys came back and got us 21-20.

Carrollton is getting wooped…they gave up mid way through the second quarter. When your down 30-0 and you continue to run misdirection and trap plays, how do you ever expect to come back? Teague is out of his league. Change that unbelievably predictable offense. Also where is their sense of urgency? The Trojans have had the ball 3 times in the 3rd quarter and let TONS of time roll off the clock between snaps. Teague is skating on thin ice for sure, and Carrollton won’t make it past round two with this garbage game plan.

It’s 17-7 Camden, CF. Based on what I’ve seen I’m thinking Colquitt Co will give Camden a better game than Lowndes has. Have to consider LC is missing two of their best players, but may not have made that much of a difference.

It’s abominable that Kansas St. is ranked #2 and that people think they deserve a chance @ the BCS title. Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Florida and UGA would kill Kansas St. What a joke. They haven’t played anything close to resembling a REAL defense.

Looks like the “Boneyard” is going to be the place to be next fri. as the 5AAAAA region title is decided. Two undefeated teams will square off to see who is the king of the hill and #1 seed going into the playoffs. Get ready for one heck of a game folks.

This is Thomson’s bye week, so just watching other games online and on television! Great game between St. Pius and Blessed Trinity! Congrats to St. Pius on the win, but Blessed Trinity have nothing to hold their heads down about! Both teams are capable of making noise in playoffs!!
Burke County, I’m definitely pulling for you to represent the Augusta area in AAAA, but Sandy Creek just looks unstoppable! All AAAA teams better take notice! Just keeping it real!!

@ Dum-Bass: I have said this for a year. No team is going to give Camden County a game down there. Like Northside (Warner Robins) in that region, the Wildcats will be a hot knfe sliding through butter with those teams. End of story.

First, Congrats to MLK 24-17, region champs. If MLK acts like this with a region, they will get knocked out quick at state, act like you’ve been there. You can really see a difference in Tucker since Stephens left. I didn’t think there would be that much of a drop off but both this game and the Stephenson game showed me that top quality competition may be too difficult for Tucker. Tucker is way too one dimensional and their defense seemed lost at times with simple run plays towards the end of the game. Just my 2 cents worth.

I am proud of my Lowndes Vikings, who are running out of time, but I’d say have given Camden all they want tonight. Down to about 4 minutes left in the game and the Lowndes defense has shone tonight. A couple mistakes have been the difference and assuming this score holds up for Camden, Lowndes will look forward to the playoffs.

I am guessing Lowndes has no one that can field a punt? If I were Camden I would have been punting on first down…seems to be there best offense. Two decent teams but definitely neither is impressive.
