The ESPNU announcer just said that the Region 1 winner will get a bye in the first two rounds of the state playoffs. I hadn’t heard that one. That’s a lot at stake in this game.

Region 2 plays Region 3 in the first round. Neither region is very good except for Lovejoy.
Hughes should beat Rockdale. Region 3 probably wins the other 3.

Preciate for doing the story on SACA…. I get slam for this … But, Black player don’t give back to black schools.i.e HBCU, Pacman jones give millon of dollars to a strippers nothing to Westlake or BenHill. Dwight Howard didn’t pay to go SACA. He was at Ben Hill playing .
Woodward caught on look out for< Woodward next 4 years they are giving scholarships to every star at Ben Hill youth league.

Peach County up but they are fortunate. Recover a fumble inside the 5 and get a TD and a punt return for a TD. Carver has a good shot if they do not make the same mistakes.

Grant Gabriel is the Camden kicker who hit the FG. He’s not a soph, but a senior. Apparently Ramsey has a foot/ankle injury and isn’t kicking, just QB’ing.

Jones for Walton has been banged up all year. Hate to say it, but without a legit threat of a passing game or another runner, teams have keyed on Jones all year and he has paid for all of those hits.
Roswell looking like a much better team the past 3 or 4 weeks than they were early in the year. Giving Lassiter all they want. The Roswell RB is very good. Looks kinda small, but very shifty

I’m not naive. I am the past president of the athletic association of a private school in Atlanta. I know what I’m talking about. People have been accusing private schools of offering athletic scholarships for years. It’s simply not true. Now, if you want to talk about high profile public schools recruiting kids by enticing their parents to move into a different district…

North Cobb 35, Marietta 14 – halftime. NC is a whacky team. They’ve blown out Walton, Hillgrove, now Marietta apparently. Lost to S.Cobb in OT, then to McEachern. Averaging well over 40 pts/game.

Woodward can offer your son a financial aid package that is available to any student based upon need. They can offer your son a work/study program. What they CAN NOT do is offer him an athletic scholarship. Doing so would get them kicked out of the GHSA. No athlete is worth running the risk of incurring that penalty.
