C’mon sportsnut

Why do you think MLK will win?

Here is “my” analyis on the game between Tucker and ML King and why “I” believe Tucker should WIN !!!

Tucker’s offense run plays very similar to Dunwoody which MLK had fits slowing down until late into the game when most players for DHS had gotten tired from playing both ways. Tucker Run game is much better and faster !!! They over pursue which causes lanes to open up on misdirection.

I have watched MLK play four times. Once Live against Cedar Grove and three times on film. I have said this before and I will say it again, their QB doesn’t read the defense, he throw the ball down field and let’s the WR’s make a play on the ball. Which is not a bad idea because they have two very athletic guys out there who can catch. We have moved our best player #1 J. Williams to the FS spot and #5 D. Sanders will be helping to stay over the top and make plays on the ball.

MLK O Line hasn’t blocked very well all season, they miss assignments and let LB’s run freely to the backfield, and with the pressure we bring that QB will be running for his life. Every game they have bad snaps in shotgun, ball goes over the QB head. They won’t be converting on 3 and 26 backed up in there own endzone.

Tucker will have at least 3 int’s and 6 sacks.

Tiger4Life you must be a scout or a coach for Tucker. If you have so many answers to the football game. Tucker should be UNDEATED! They are the same team that lost to Stephenson. But we beat Stephenson by 21! Please explain this to me……

I’m not a scout, nor am I a coach although I could be. I just love the game of football and what it represents. It teaches you a lot about life and the different challenges and adverse situations that you may encounter.

Discipline, Dedication and Commitment to yourself and also your team. Knowing that the other 10 guys on the field are willing to sacrifice their body to make the play creates a bond that cannot be broken.

I like to know the competition, so I watch film. And if you have never been taught how, then you just watch where the ball is and see the end result of the play. I could break it down on how to if anyone would like me to, it make the game that much more enjoyable. ;-)

Miller Grove beat Stephenson 32-29 and then Tucker beat Miller Grove 28-13 just one week later.

It’s all about the match ups created between personal.

I knew going into the Stephenson game it would be tough. They are really fast and athletic with there front seven and kinda weak/Inexperienced in the secondary. Our stong suit is the run, we had sucsess but not enough to win.

Arabia Mtn, Miller Grove and MLK all had sucsess against Stephenson with the pass. And when Tucker threw the ball ball that did to, just a little to late :-(

It will be a win for Lowndes if they can stay within 21 points of Camden, especially with their two best players out with injuries. Lowndes is “open” November 9th, and hosts a 1st round game the next weekend. The two players should be back by the 2nd playoff game. Lowndes’ post season still has a good chance to shine favorably for the Vikings!

If you go back and look at Todd’s early season predictions, Lowndes was thought to at best finish 3rd in region 1-AAAAAA this year, and be the region’s 3rd seeded team. Lowndes has clinched at least 2nd seed already. Pretty successful season in a rebuilding year!

Love your synopsis of King, but the thing that you don’t know is that they had four starting linemen out at some point during the season. Left tackle with a broken foot, left guard torn ACL, center sprained ankle. So they had young guys playin. Ask Stephenson how they looked last week.over 500 yards of total offense..

And to be honest, they may want to take #5, #1, #25, #13, #9, #70, and #55 off of defense or get them as many breaks as they can because MLK’s no huddle is gonna have them exhausted by the end of the 3rd quarter. Tucker doesn’t have a chance against that potent offense. They can score quick or run it down your throat. Pick your poison…

@mr. Johnson

The same potent offense that scored
23 on Stockbridge
18 on SWD
24 on Arabia Mtn
That potent offense?

Pick your poison 0_0 more like choosing between cow dung or horse dung, the only difference is one stinks worst than the other.

Sure do wish that GPTV could come to Middle Ga this week and see some real GA FOOTBALL between Northside and Warner Robins. It is a shame that only Atlanta area schools are shown on GPTV.There is also a great game in FT.Valley between Peach and Carver of Columbus.Hey GPTV,what’s the deal?Is the rest of state off limits or should it be ATLPTV?Just asking?

You must haven’t watched King lately…

40 on Dunwoody
51 on Lakeside
49 on Stephenson
Yea, that potent offense…

They are hitting their stride at the right time and all the guys that were injured are back healthy…

Mr. Johnson,

First I would like to say good morning to you :-)

Now lets tackle the issues…

Lakeside gives up an average of 45.5 ppg. They are 1-7 and the one team they did beat is Dunwoody by a score of 28-14. MLK stuggled with Dunwoody and scored late in the game after most of the 2-way starters had gotten tired. Don’t forget they were losing at halftime ;-) So that discredits two of the three you named.

I will admit the score in the Stephenson game kinda suprised me, but it’s a rival game and anything is posible. You guys put up big numbers on them last year. They ran the same defense as last year and you guys it figured out.

So out of your 8-0 record MLK has two quality wins over SWD and Stephenson.

what about wins over 7-1 Stockbridge, a 5-3 Mays team who may actually be in the playoffs, and a convincing win vs. Arabia who gave Tucker fits with their passing game and King is definitely better at passing than Arabia???? You better hope they don’t keep #1 at FS the whole night…..

Stockbridge is in a lower classification, not saying they are an inferior team, but thats a game you should win!

A late score put you over Mays by 6 points, that game could have went either way.

We gave up two touchdowns on Defense against Arabia Mtn. passing attack and two against Miller Grove. Who both had great succsess passing against Stephenson.

I will be there sitting on the 50 with my hot coco :-)

All I want you to do is look at the stats for Dekalb County and the state of georgia the past 3 seasons and you will see who had the best passing game. It wasn’t Arabia or Miller Grove. MLK is more precise than either of them…. You will see.

I’m still waiting sportsnut to tell me why he thinks MLK is going to win. I don’t make predictions w/o having some insight first. ;-)

If th adjustments you spoke of work against MLK work and Tucker wins, I believe Tucker will be the favorite to win title. When a team knows what is coming at them and makes the adjustments and win, you have very good coaching.

If I’m not mistaken Tucker played a lower classification team in Cedar Grove and they struggled with Arabia and lost to Stephenson and both teams were destroyed by MLK. TUCKER can put whomever they want in the secondary and they still wont be able to stop King. If they want to drop 8 in coverage they will get pounded and if they blitz like they have all year they will be in trouble because they don’t cover well..
