camden74…santa clause may have just dropped you an early christmas gift in the form of our 2 best players most likely out for the camden game….if these 2 could go i would pick lowndes to beat you guys by 10 points. the game will simply not be the same if we are without our two best…….the only way to tell who is best is when both teams best players can go against each other and i dont see neither one playin against yall. We still got a shot though.

It sounds like a Lowndes concession. You would have received an A only if you had done your homework. Line up eleven and play ball. An embarassing loss to Camden will not be diluted in the media by the absence of any player. Depth is the key to any successful championship campaign. I hope those players mend in time for the state title run.

BK As much as I want Lowndes to win, you are not helping the cause. Coming up with pre game excuses is pretty much lame. I agree with Hugh, depth is the answer for a good run, I’m pretty sure Lowndes has more than 22 players, If the don’t they are not a football team. You cant have 22 players and 60 or so lambs standing on the sideline. I don’t think there is one team in the state that doesn’t lose a star player sometime during the season, you still have to line up. S I would keep those thoughts to yourself or you are just putting a target on your back on these blogs.

I agree with your last post reggieman, and have to consider your prior one to be pretty sensical. Propst finally got an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty last night for arguing with refs. Guess he finally got a crew who wasn’t in awe of him from his Friday Night lights famed past. Losing Tiquan Lang and Nick Burgman would hurt any team. It especially hurts Lowndes because they are our two fastest players, and we will need all the speed we can muster to stay on the field with Camden.
If Coffee can play 4 quarters, and that’s really stretching my imagination, they might give Colquitt a run next Friday. That would be something if cry baby Propst wasn’t even in the playoffs., wouldn’t it?!! Another loss and the Packers can start basketball early, and the Bd of Edu might just send Propst “packing.” Now that would be a Packer win for the ages!

Lowndes/Camden game to be on ESPNU next Friday. They moved Walton/Milton to a 9PM start last night for ESPN, so expect the same for Lowndes/Camden.
Printz would have passed for well over 400 if receivers would catch the ball. One drop would have been a 95 yard TD. Ball went at least 50 yards in the air and you could not have stood there and handed it to him any better. Receiver dropped it and had 3 steps on nearest defender.

Seriously y’all Camden and Lowndes are two great teams. We can all brag and try to predict the game outcome but this game will be closer than most think. No excuses but Lowndes will definitely be at a huge disadvantage without Lang and Burgman. Yes we still have players that can and will step up but it would be like JJ Green and Ramsey both going down. You guys can’t tell me that wouldn’t be a huge disadvantage for Camden. No doubt about it this is a tough break for Lowndes. I’m not an excuse type person but both are dynamic players and are a HUGE part of what Lowndes wants to do on and off of the football. So this is definitely not good for us but its football and like Camden 74 stated in a previous post you have to suit up and go hard with what you got! I’m still looking forward to a much better game than most expect. Camden is the #1 team in the state. They are ranked nationally, and they are on ESPNU, so the pressure isn’t on Lowndes it’s on Camden. Lowndes just needs to go out there and play Lowndes football. Nobody thinks Lowndes even has a shot anyway so Go Vikings!!!

Camden runs the wing-t and the quarterback is the general. Ramsey is an outstanding QB and UGA recognized that. Now having said that, Camden’s number two QB has a cannon for an arm and he may not be as tall as Ramsey but when he has to he can throw the ball with the best of them. That’s what is called depth and o’yea the number three QB is a Heron and I think he knows a little bit about the wing-t offense.

Viking Girl……The point I was attempting to make with yo is, Lowndes may have lost it’s two best players in terms of ability. But not it’s Field General and there’s a difference. A team’s starting QB knows and runs the offense better than anyone else. Lose him and you lose the HEAD/BRAIN of your offense. The body can’t function without the head. Lose two top players in any other area, the team can still function at a high level, assuming you have depth. According to bk, Lowndes has 5 running backs who could start for any other HS team….If Camden lost any of it’s star players, it would hurt the team, but IMO, the team would still play at a high level….

The Lassiter Trojans will be the one team that, if they play four quarters, can beat anyone including Camden and Grayson. No one has the number of DB’s needed to cover all of the skilled receivers that Printz has available to throw to. They just need to play 4 quarters and stay focused! Printz is absolutely the best arm that I have seen in high school. He can put the ball in the receivers hands 50 yards down the field…every time. Missouri has to be counting their blessings to have landed him this late.

@Yo, To many people get hung up on Camdens great players like #5 and #12. And although I think it would be difficult to contend if we lost our starting QB, running back is not an issue. The Cats are very deep at every other position. Should we suffer an unfortunate injury at the running back spot it would be business as normal for the Cats. NO excuses would be made heading into a BIG game against Lowndes. So many young players are just chopping at the Bit for an opportunity to play.
So to answer your question, can we afford to leave our QB at home for the big game against Lowndes, probably not. But we can compete for a championship with loses at any other postion. Lets stop making excuses and let the kids play. Good luck to the Vikings and congrats on an excellent season so far.GO Wildcats!!!!!!!!

I must admit if Camden didn’t have their qb, they still will be good but their special teams wouldn’t be dominant on the kickoffs n punts and if a good defense stop that running game, they would br in a lil trouble. Special teams and that passing game what makes this Camden team super special. They will swept the region this year but their region loses coming but I don’t see them losing no more then ten points to anyone in this region in the future…

reggaeman, Ramsey didn’t kick-off the second half against Brunswick (Because he got hurt trying to kick a field goal). Gabriel stepped right in and put the ball into the end zone a few times. A few of those kick offs didn’t make it into the end zone and that was good practice for the kick off team, which hasn’t had to make any tackles this year. It surprised me to see how well Gabriel kicked. So, while losing Ramsey would be hard, I think Camden’s offensive scheme and special teams would survive. Losing JJ Green would be very tough, not on offense but he also plays defense. Camden’s defense is very fast…..but without JJ I think they might suffer a bit.

@sportsnut=You are right but unless we continue our trend of 4 or 5 turnovers per game the game may not be close but Coffee will come to play. Honestly i really can’t see Coffee beating us but anything can happen on any given friday right. We learn something in our about offense that will be very important in the up coming games but u are right we do have to get in first but i don’t think that will be a problem bro. The second season is about to begin but these last 2 weeks will be crazy bro for real dude!!

I think all you smart football fans need to ask yourself this ????? Most of yall thought lowndes would lose to camden before our 2 best players got hurt……..so what you think our chances are without them>? Not good…….and it upsets me that these 2 got hurt….bc i really wanted to tke on camden with our best team on the field to see where we stack up. We will give it our all…i know that for sure

to Question?
Lang may be back for Camden….questionable. Missed Tifton game Friday. Had a high ankle sprang in practice last Monday before Tifton game.
Burgman our top rusher pulled a hamstring against Tifton Friday night. I doubt he’ll be playing against Camden. Should be back for playoff run some where along the way.

My personal observation of Colquit’s defense this year is that it is a step slower than previous years. I noticed this in both the Lowndes and Valdosta games when it seemed both teams running backs appeared to easily run around Colquit’s defensive line and line backers.

Colquit Fan so what you are saying to sportsnut is that Lovejoy likely would not have made the playoffs if in Region 1. That would be my obvious take on that.

Thing is, we are not in region 1. Do not keep crowing about a game where the winner was trashed all over the field. We lost. Now you beat us !

Not sayin that. Just saying if our region is so overrated then why couldn’t they get past a team on the verge of missing the playoffs? But he’ll blame it on the refs

Colquitt fan….Did Rush use a loop hole in the regulations to bring transfers to Colquitt? Does Rush have the philosophy of, if you’re not cheating you’re not trying? Does Rush try to use intimidation to influence the officials? Is Rush the Sultan of Hype, in Region 1?:-)

@ LTtrojan Fan…A ball control offense and smothering defense wins in the playoffs and wins state titles…Not a spread attack. When was the last time a spread team won it all? I’ll wait. Lassiter won’t be able to slow down Grayson’s, Camden’s, or Norcross’s pass rush. Those defenses have so much speed and size it will blow Printz’s mind wide open.

@nghs 09 Lassiter is not your typical air attack only spread system. Our Coach is smart enough to know you have to run the ball & has been developing it since his arrival. We run for over 100 yards every Friday night. I assure you this team is the real deal.

And I assure you that those three defenses injure QBs…and rushing for over 100 yards against a nobody Wheeler team, that hasn’t beaten anyone worth noting, is not going to protect Printz for 4 qrts. Lassiter and Printz never played Colquitt, Grayson, NG, Camden, or anyone else with a worthy defense in the playoffs. Well you could argue Walton, but they caved in against Grayson when it mattered most. I am not saying they aren’t legit, or that they will not go deep in the playoffs, but trust me those defenses are unlike anything Printz has seen.

bk seems like a broken record, stuck in the same groove. Excuses don’t flatter anybody. Besides, if Lowndes has a defense that’s as good as bk brags about, maybe they’ll be alright after all.
Will Camden go easy on Lowndes? Maybe start the 2nd string in the 3rd quarter?

gwinnettdad…..i hope lowndes gets a shot at your bucking broncos………be fun to watch that whipping. its not excuses. lowndes does have a good defense. lang is part of it and a big part at that. him and burgman both are huge parts of our offense and if they dont play it will mean our defense spends more time on the field which eventually will bite a team in the butt

@ BK == Don’t you have a football team ? If you do, these injuries should not stop you from being competitive. Like I said, don’t come to us without your best. It will cost you !

bk – hate is not a virtue. Neither is jealousy. Neither are threats. Hope that you’re toxic example of poor sportsmanship isn’t anywhere close to the Lowndes program. Lowndes students deserve a far better example than the character defects you repeatedly display.
