@cannon
I’m not in agreement that Hiram is a “very good” team. I think infact that they in fact a very medicoreif not flat out poor team. No tackling skills, not that athletic beyond there Qb and small in stature.
I think East is at this point probably a decent team but overrated and likely to see an early playoff exit. The entire Region seems weak and I’ve seen them all except Allatoona, Villa Rica and the Paulding County teams. I don’t like it but the region will be paired up against. Reg 8 which might be the only region we can scratch out a win against and that will probably be our against their 4.
Sloppy play and penalties are about to catch up with our boys at East. Only saving Grace thus Friday against Rome is that the cant stop or tackle anyone.

Looks like a lot of practice for the playoffs. Not meant to degrade anyone, it’s just that by the time you finish playing all those easy games and a tough one or two, you have honed your game for the playoffs. Consistancy, timing, both physical and mental, are all elements of the game you have a chance to achieve. Could be the formula for making it to where you want to go. Not a bad Stragety, if you had control but you don’t. You play who, when and where they say you do and that is all there is to it. Win and the rest takes care of itself. Just Win!

I can’t wait for the Sandy Creek/Carrollton game Nov 2nd!!!!
Both have GOOD offenses but Sandy Creek is only giving up 11 pts a game while Carrollton is just giving up 17 pts a game. It’s going to be a knock down drag it out slobber knocker.

@bksmith14 – Are you going to start in again about how bad Grayson is and how we won’t win anything against “good” teams? Won’t make it deep in the playoffs, won’t beat any R1 team, can’t hold a candle to the mighty Vikes? It didn’t play last year and it won’t this year.
@highschoolhigh – I’m sure those teams are glad to know you think so highly of them. Let’s see, one was ranking #1 in the nation when we played them, and two of the others are #1 in their region. With the possible exception of one team, all the others can jump up and beat you if you aren’t paying attention.
Just so it will be clear to both of you, my comment was somewhat tongue in cheek. Many people including Mr. Smith have said that Grayson can’t score enough points to win. They said it before the Kell, they said it before we played Miami Central. It looks to me that we can and do score plenty. Say what you will about some of the teams we have played records. The mathematical fact is that with the number of region games we play as opposed to some regions means that some good team will have bad records.

That is the question you asked? I just statistically showed you why? Did not say how bad the other teams were. But you have played a 1-6 and 0-7 team. Yes Central was ranked #1 in some pols, Why? Strength of schedule for the year, not based on game play. Grayson was #1 in some polls as well if I recall, but only scored 7 on Parkview, a playoff team in 6A, as far as the Macheachern game, it was closer than the final score. The fact is this if you look at the PA/PF on the teams that you have played with the exception of Parkview and Macheachern, they have all been outscored including Central. Based on the teams played Fred, Parkview and MachEachern have proven to be your toughest tests and that record is 1-1.
