Michael Carson resigned as the team’s coach after the parent of a player began showing inappropriate text messages and photos that the coach had sent her.
Rober Freeman, who had been ML King’s defensive backs coach, was promoted to interim coach. Freeman played college football at Clark Atlanta and two years in the NFL.
“Our start is really not a surprise,” Freeman said. “Coach Carson is a great coach, and he prepared us as a staff to be able to handle anything and everything.”
