@Camden74, the coaches know what they are doing. They were winning the game by 3 touchdowns, no need too show your entire hand. Tougher games lay ahead and the Wildcats will be ready. Coach is only show casing about half of the playbook, they have sooo much more in store for region 6A .

I hate to say this but, Camden’s gonna have a tough time when they meet a good passing offense! Don’t know why they haven’t made adjustments to the weakness in the 3-3-5……

D-nice……The team needs to learn how to play 48 minutes of football, they’re not accustomed to doing that yet. There are only 4 more games in the regular season. The last two will be tough, then the playoffs. It is essential to learn how to play a full game. The coaches don’t have to show any more of the offense/defense than they’ve shown in the first half. But you cannot allow the team to lose their aggressiveness! Coffee did a lot of run blitzing in the 3rd quarter, why run the ball when the defense is run blitzing? At least don’t run into the teeth of the defense. Anywho, just my opinion. I’m sure the coaches have their reasons for doing what they do. I just don’t totally agree.

Its so funny listening to us Camden fans complain,LOL, we are sooooo spoiled!!!!! Teams are going to make plays in the passing game, its called Good Football. We can’t expect to shut everyone down, those kids practice and play hard just like our Beloved Wildcats. Camden74, you sound like a very smart guy, go back and research every game we have played this year. If my memory serves me correct, Camden is averaging almost 2 interceptions a game, which is way better than years past. So yes the adjustments are taking place as we speak.

Wasn’t aware of Propst vs. McPherson until a few minutes ago. Geez! Some folks in 1-AAAAAA apparently REALLY don’t like each other. Accusations! Calling people liars! I wish THAT would stay in South Georgia.

@Dnice…. I agree with your statement but I also know this ain’t playing savannah teams anymore and theses teams can put 32 points on the board as fast as Camden did. You can’t play a second half with just what was scored in the first half. 32 to 6 is a good lead but 60 to 6 is a much safer lead. I have to give Coffee credit for stopping them but if Camden came back out and scored on their first second half series it would have taken a lot of steam out of the opposition. I just thought they were too conservative in the one series they got in the third quarter. I readily admit that I don’t know anywhere near as much as the coaches do but I felt like the reigns were held on the offense in the second half

D-nice…….You may very well be right, but there’s always room for improvement. Not taking anything away from any other team. The coaches on other teams see the same flaws as I do. They’re attempting to take advantage of them every week and each week they’re doing a better job. Camden has not faced a very good team yet. Very good teams can and will take advantage where they can. I’m sure Camden’s coaches are probably working hard to make adjustments. But sometimes they leave me scratching my head. I also understand there’s no such thing as a bad win! Good job CATS!

jj and brice are your biggest playmakers,,,,,,,,,,i know yall have others but those 2 are your main ones. Lowndes gameplan will be to keep camdens offense on the sidelines…if executed we win….just my opinion…..if not we lose….
either way..both teams will make strong runs in the playoffs with a possibility of meeting each other again very high

To the Dutchtown Dad in the red shirt who was berating the coaches and yelling out that they should all be fired – SHUT UP! This is high school football. We should all be there to support the players, the school, AND the coaches. If you are so tired of hearing about the winningest coach in school history, then keep your big tail at the house! This game is about learning HOW to be successful not tear down other people. Congrats to Dutchtown for a great first half – we will get there – keep faith and ignore negativity from people like Mr. Red T-Shirt.

@bksmith14….,. That is my exact concern. IMHO Camden came out without adjusting to anything and the play calling seemed. To be just coast along until the end of the game like it was a Savannah team. That will not work against Lowndes and Colquitt county even if there were a slim chance to be up 32 to 6 at the half. If Camden is able to score 32 in a quarter or half the other teams in region one are too. Camden can beat anybody in the state on any given night nut if they don’t put the pedal to the medal for 48 minutes any team from here on out can beat them. I don’t want Camden to learn that lesson the hard way. I respect the other teams in this region and know what can be done. Camden’s in the show now and they won’t win by just showing up.

Hey big man in the red shirt with the big mouth – what have you done lately to support the coaches and team? Have you helped line the field? Have you washed jerseys? Have you recorded stats? Have you worked the chain crew? Have you cut the field/practice fields in the middle of one of Georgia’s hottest summers? NO – so, rather than calling for someone to be fired, step up big man. You have such big ideas and opinions, but no actions to back them up! Locust Grove – great job playing hard tonight. Dutchtown – keep your heads up, you’re not done yet! BE GREAT!

As the Coach’s wife that was being talked about so ugly at the Dutchtown game tonight, I was truly offended that a parent would stand there and talk about firing my coach in front of my two children (who are 2 and 5). I don’t think you have any idea how much time he spends away from his only family at DHS working. He truly cares about those kids and is completely dedicated to their success. I hope that my 5 year old son doesn’t continue to worry about “the big mean man” from the game. I don’t go into the stands and stay on the track (away from most people) for a reason. I should not have to listen to you call for my husband or any of those other men who work relentlessly for the benefit of the football players (who seem to think pretty highly of their coaches) to be fired. If you don’t know who I am, please buy a program, take a look, and then avoid being around me with your negative and ugly comments. I understand being mad at a coach and yelling about them not being “good” – emotions run high in competition. However, please be more aware of the people around you and keep your ugly comments anywhere away from me and my children. Although you have a right to free speech, it shouldn’t be in my area – and certainly not within earshot of my children!

Dutchtown players – hold your heads up – you have NOTHING to be ashamed of and everything to be proud of. Yes, we may have had a nasty second half, but . . . we also had moments of GREATNESS. @bksmith, I have a question for you? If Lowndes is so good and so fast why did they only score 17 points against Colquitt? Colquitt had a much better defense last year when we played them and we scored almost everytime we touched the ball. The deciding factor in the Camden County/Lowndes game will be the quarter back play. In the past Lowndes has been able to put 8 or 9 players in the box to slow Camden down, lol, not anymore. If you come out with that defense and coach calls an audible and goes spread whatcha going to do? #12 can flat out throw the ball man, I see it in practice everyday. This is not the same team Lowndes has seen in the past, #12 is on pace to throw about 25-30 touchdown passes this year. So while my Camden fans are concerned about Camden being very vanilla in the second half today against Coffee, I understand what the coaches are doing. Why give teams more information to study, they’ve been playing conservative all year. If Lowndes comes out and hits us in the mouth early you may see a Camden offense that you dont recognize because we will go down the field early and often and force you to adjust.

Hereswhatittakes — You obviously have an incorrect schedule. Camden travels to Colquitt the week BEFORE they travel to Lowndes. The Camden vs Lowndes game is on Nov 2 and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
RealBoyCat — Coffee nearly ALWAYS has a lot of personal fous called on them. That has been indicative of their team for years. Hopefully -for them- the new coach will coach that out of’em.
Camden74, “IF” Propst still has a job a Colquitt County High School when Camden goes there, rest assured he WILL influence the refs. I think some of them are still in awe of his former “Friday Night Live TV” show and Alabama fame. Plus, he practically stays on the field the entire game jawing at’em. I’ve never seen a ref man enough to make him stay in the coaches box. Not even in the GA Dome vs Brookwood. I was on the sidelines and saw it up close.
But you may not have to worry about him. Rumor has it he will be long gone before your team has to travel to the pig packing hog pen in Moultrie. That old hog slaughter business they used to have over there for so many years in Moultrie closed up a few years ago. It’s time for the Rush Probst Show to move on also.
The man would do well at a Division 2 college as offensive coordinator, particularly if it has a strong head coach WHO CAN REIGN IN HIS SHENANIGANS.Colquitt has a lot of athletes who can play, and are a very good football team. But their future looks bad for them. Their B Team sux,as does their 8th and 9th grade teams. Both of their 8th grade teams recently lost by over 35 points on the same day. Their B Team has been losing about the same rate. Probst sees that and knows it is time to leave, even if the Superintendent doesn’t make the decision for him (which may be soon.)
Fred and Grayram, what’cha think about Probst trying to bring in Mickey Conn to this South GA bruhaw? The man’s a work of art ain’t he?

It looks to me like that ex coach is the problem. Buddy or Buzzy whatever his name is. I thought i read this guy was on the staff at thomaston or thomas county, why doesn’t he attend his own games? I don’t blame the Colquitt coach for being upset at this guys actions, but calling Lowndes coach a liar seems to be going to far. Congratz to Camden for getting the win and for playing a great game. I still don’t understand the coaching at Coffee, why the hell do you keep running the ball up the middle and going 3 and out when Camden has no pass defense, yes, I know Camden had a pick 6 in the game by JJ Green, but over all Camden could not stop the pass, yet all Coffee did is run, and the whole Coffee football team is very undisciplined, 3 late hits, caught 4 times with 12 or 13 men on the field, I thought that coach pruitt was going to fix these problems but idk. Go Trojans!!!

Coffeetrojan#44,
Camden had 2 picks, 1 was a pick six, the other reason is to wear down the smaller Camden line, also Camden was able to get pressure on the QB on some occasions. That was enough to at least keep running the ball. If I am correct, Coffee runs the Wing T, which is a run first offense and pass second. Coffee gave up too much in the first half. But they were able to come back in the 3rd and gain momentum. Camdens failed onside kick to begin the 3rd quarter contributed to that. However even though Coffee had the ball 95% of the 3rd quarter, they only scored 6 points. Coffee is a young team with loads of talent at receiver and in the backfield. Camden was able to complete some long passes as well.
bksmith14, Camden and Lowndes run the same offense, they both rely on ball control. Camden may have the edge at quarterback and ability to pass. Did not see much passing by Lowndes against Colquitt. This will be a good game in my opinion Camden and Lowndes mirror one another. That game is too far off for both teams. Camden has Brunswick next week and Lowndes has Valdosta which will not be an easy task, based on the meaning of this game for the community. Nothing in Ga like like the “WINNERVILLE CLASSIC.” I will be in the stands for this one. Maybe closer than most think.
