Week Seven already? Some region races are still just getting started.
Remember that we have a scoreboard that gives you quarter-by-quarter scores through the night, but news of some of the top games can be found more quickly on the blog with the help of fans and the many online streams of games.
If you’re attending a game and can post online, let us know how you’re game is going. Just be careful if you’ve got binoculars.

Seems to me that so far Camden is starting to make Region 1-AAAAAA this year look a lot like 3-AAAAA last year. Is Camden THAT good?

I think Camden is pretty good. But Colquitt and Lassiter are the best teams that Camden will play. That lies ahead.

Waco 21, Lovett 13 … Lovett is ranked at 2-3. Will they be ranked at 2-4? Lovett has played about six ranked teams from higher classifications.

That’s another case of an undefeated team (athens academy) against a weak schedule that I didn’t figure would have enough for the more battled-tested and higher-ranked team.

Coach Herron goes into this mode where he takes the foot of the throat of the other team, Camden is very explosive and has a ton of big plays that can crush a lot of teams. Coffee is slowly creeping back into the game and I believe Herron needs to crush Coffee on the next offensive and show that they wont back down. Just my opinion,

Brookwood 38-14. Dacula has nobody there, not surprising at 0-5. Dacula beat Brookwood last year and the year before when the Broncos won it all. But the Broncos do NOT have a defense this year.

At least you didn’t call it Troup County. That’s one of my pet peeves – Troup County, Coffee County, Lowndes County. It’s just Troup, Coffee, Lowndes.

Well, Camden is starting to lose steam, then again, Coffee is coming to play and they want to take down Camden. We need to get focused and score on the next offensive series. More importantly, we need to get stops on 3rd and 4th down.
