Predictions: Lassiter, North Cobb will win key Cobb County showdowns

Some of the state’s biggest games this week involve Cobb County schools. Lassiter and rival Walton battle for a share of the lead in 5-AAAAAA, No. 6 North Cobb meets unbeaten South Cobb in 4-AAAAAA, and Kell takes on undefeated Riverwood in a key subregion opener in 7-AAAAA. I’ll go with Lassiter, North Cobb and Kell in those games, plus expect Camden County to continue blazing a trail through 1-AAAAAA and Thomas County Central to beat Bainbridge in what could be the 1-AAAAA title game.
