I’m a big fan of JJ and players of his ilk. Lot of people ask how he stays in GHSF Daily’s Player of the Year Watch his stats through 4 games are below modest. But he makes a ton of big plays. I remember when Greg Reid played at Lowndes. I remember a conversation I had w/ Coach Herron about Reid. He said stats could never tell the story w/ a halfback/cornerback in Lowndes offense, the Wing T. You’re not going to get 25 carries, but you have to account for a player like Reid on every play on offense. On defense, corners don’t have a lot of tackle opportunities. But you’d better not mess with him (ie, throw his way). That’s J.J. Green.

At halftime South is up 26 Central 7 (gwinnett)
South QB Jordan Ramey scored on a ten yard run.
Central’s QB E-Man Westmoreland scored from the 2 yd line with 12 seconds in the half.

I don’t think Northside has anything to prove to the AJC. Northside is ranked #1. Tucker is ranked #1 in the A.P. poll and the GPB poll.

Todd, we don’t get any respect from the Northern part of the state. I work in that area and we don’t get any recognition. They think that the middle of the state is soft. I would like to see us play some of these schools in jamboree games. Just give us 1 quarter to show that not only do we have talent but we have heart.

17-14 Marietta up on Pebblebrook at the half. Pbrook is 0-4, but lost a couple of heartbreakers. They’re better than their record. Cliche but in this case very true.
