Quarterback Cameron Johnson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score to lead Clarke Central to a 35-12 win over Apalachee on Thursday in high school football.
Jelani Payne also had a pair of rushing touchdowns for Clarke Central, which improves to 2-2. Meanwhile, Apalachee drops to 1-3.
Johnson threw a 7-yard pass to Denzel Maxey for the game’s first touchdown, while Apalachee answered with a 61-yard touchdown run from Zay Henry.
Johnson went 41 yards on a quarterback keeper to put Clarke Central ahead 14-6 in the first quarter, and it stayed that way until halftime.
