Now thats good D. Problem is, I don’t see any of the so called “powers” on it. All those asking questions from South Georgia about no D being played in North Georgia. Evidently, none of the bigger schools are playing any D, including region 1-6A.

Notice how none of these teams are 5A or 6A teams.

This list doesn’t really mean anything. Good teams have their best players out before before half time, running 2nd or 3rd string players in. Say the score is 40 – 0 at 1/2 time. Why would the team w/ 40 points put their go to players back in? let the JV team scrimmage!

@ In The Wrong…

I agree with your comment…EAST PAULDING’S RAIDER “D” gave up 17 pts in the first game to NORTH PAULDING…but since then has had 3 straight shutouts!!! This gives them a average of only 4.25 pts allowed per game over the 4 games played to date.

HOWEVER, 2 of these games were played in the 2nd half with a running clock and mostly J.V. kids playing at that point. Also a lot of this is because of the teams they have played to date as so far EAST has played the weakest part of it’s schedule so the next 6 games will tell the true story.

@ sportsnut…

Maybe the “bigger” schools as you called them have been playing each other or tougher region games than some of the other schools and this may have caused the scoring difference. ???

@ Cannon == Good D is Good D. No matter who you play, you must play good D. If a program is 0 for it’s last 35, you still have to play D if you do not want to make them 1-35. My thought is to go undefeated and avoid all the pitfalls that come with losing. Hence an attitude towards keeping the opposing teams score to a minimum. Regardless of whom you play, the less you give up enhances your chances of winning.

@ Golden Aisle Fan == Good point. They did allow a field goal to Bleckley County in the next to last game but did win 63-3. The only other points they gave up was to Manchester in the playoffs and won that one 48-7.
