Maxwell Ratings: Northside still No. 1 among 412

Each week, AJC.com will publish the Maxwell Ratings to give fans a computerized look at how Georgia’s 412 football-playing teams rank in each class and in all classifications.

The Maxwell Ratings are based strictly on scores. As the season progresses, the rankings will rely more and more on this season’s results and less on previous seasons. By the playoffs, the rankings will reflect 2012 results entirely.

Northside 2012 – another great team wasted on a pathetic cupcake schedule. The whole season comes down to one game against Tucker, again.

W>R>DEMON we have had your number for a long time and that used to be all that mattered in that town. We have moved past that satisfaction though!

The bloggers under C’ and Warner Robins Demons would not be satisfied under any circumstance. They are probably the same person.

Having six classes dilutes the talent.

Patriot Power, that makes absolutely no sense. The schools are the same. The players are the same. The coaches are the same. Where the dilution of talent?

Not true, very satisfied in 2008 – 2009. Lost in the playoffs but getting there was a hell of a ride.

Number 1 of 412, I think not. That would make you the #1 team in the state, All-class. No one has them in that spot in any poll. I believe there may be about 76 teams in AAAAA and they would be # 1 there, depending on which poll you are using. Tucker holds a few # 1’s.

@eagleforlife, GROW UP! Will you people at NSWR please get over that butt whipping that we put on y’all on your field. If you want to be technical about it we dropped a couple of wide open passes that would have put us up by 14 pts. We also had that penalty calling our receiver in motion before he caught that bomb. So if you want to split hairs then go ahead but we could have beaten you several different ways. You lost and we won so until you beat us again you are only second best…. sorry correction (sorry sportsnut) Lovejoy is second best and you are third best or fourth best.

THANK YOU, Tucker Dad!!! However, you forgot to add that the “mighty eagles” didn’t have a single player to catch #7, who ran the ball back 99 yards! They also had offensive possessions 2 more times before the game ended and did NOT capitalize either possession.

@ Tucker DAD Bring it on Tucker! You got a butt whipping coming if you make it to the playoffs! Personally, I don’t think you will get by MLK or Stephenson! Everybody in the MAC knows you got your butt kicked all night up and down the field! That’s in the past! The future butt whipping is coming to the Tucker Kittens courtesy of the NORTHSIDE EAGLES!!!!!

It’s early in the season and everyone is high on their team as they should be. But by week eight we should have a good indication on where everyone will be. Dekalb county will begin it’s historical assent to a season for the ages in just two weeks. The top teams will square off and the playoff picture will begin to form. I know who’s going to come out on top on 6AAAAA…. who do you think will?

NSWR fans, nothing personal but you are the most fanatical fans I’ve ever run across in high school football. You talk trash before the game and you talk trash after the game is over even when you lose. At some point you have to give the other team credit for doing things right and winning the game. I want to leave you all with this to sum it up…… “Success is when OPPORTUNITY is met with PREPAREDNESS”. We were prepared for the opportunity you gave us and we won the game!

Wonder why Maxwell has Colquitt rated higher than Lowndes when we beat them last week, and in doing so, held the Packers to 8 yards rushing and around 140 yards passing. I also don’t understand all the love for West Forsythe and Lasseter. I suspect several teams in regions 1, 7, and 8 could beat both of’em. Probably Walton and McEachern could whip’em too.

Tucker Dad you do realize Tucker had les than 100 yards in the second half about the same as your IQ. If not for the gift of a 104 yard fumble recovery The mighty Tucker would have only scored 10 points against the best dfense in the state. I guess tharts why when we try to set up a home and home match this year your coach declined, and yes we put that offer out to at least 39 other teams and all declined. I hope yall do run the table and we get the chance to put a whooping on yall.

iN FACT TUCKER HAD LESS THAN 200 YARDS FOR THE GAME THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS NORTHSIDES DEFENSE IS BETTER THAN LAST SO CAREFULL WHAT YOU ASK FOR
