Blessed Trinity 21, White County 19: The visiting Titans earned a slim victory thanks to running back Milton Shelton’s 131 yards rushing and touchdown run. Sam Roberts caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown for Blessed Trinity. Roberts’ touchdown came late in the first half to give the Titans a 14-13 halftime lead.
Woodward Academy 24, Westminster 3: Woodward Academy spoiled Westminster’s homecoming by taking a 10-0 second-quarter lead and coasting to victory. Jollyce Myrick (five carries, 73 yards) and quarterback Terry Googer scored on touchdown runs for the War Eagles. Woodward forced two turnovers deep in its own territory, including an interception by Quincy Wolff that he returned 97 yards for a touchdown.

Woodward hosts Blessed Trinity this Friday night. Ought to be a barnburner. Woodward’s “D” is pretty stout, and “O” ain’t too shabby.

Let’s hear it for the War Eagles! Woodward looked great on both sides of the ball. Next Friday night will be a war vs BT.
