Softball: Top-ranked Wolves continue roll

Class AA No. 1 Wesleyan has won four straight and seven of its last eight games. The Wolves beat Bacon County 9-1 and Calvary Day 10-8 in Macon Saturday at Mercer University. Amanda DeLaPerriere got the win versus Bacon County while Haley Geerup earned the win against Calvary Day. Sydney Stone was 2-for-4 with two runs, Victoria Distasi was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs and Riley Henning had three RBIs for the Wolves against Bacon County. In the Calvary Day game, CaraMia Tsirigos went 2-for-3 with three runs while Dacia Jones was 4-for-4 with three RBIs. … Grayson upset No. 7 Parkview Monday night 3-1 in a Region 8-AAAAAA matchup. Jen Spangler got the win for the Rams and also drove in one run. Peyton Glover earned the save. … Peachtree Ridge dominated host Flowery Branch 14-2 Monday behind Sam Pierannunzi’s homer and six RBIs. Pierannunzi was 4-for-4 and also had a triple and stolen base. Sarah Walker got the win after throwing five innings to improve to 9-0.
