Congratulations to Calhoun who played a good game. 4 special team mistakes by Carrollton sealed the deal for them. Special teams were not that special.

Someone was saying that Calhoun shouldnt be number one in AA. I wonder if they still believe that after beating the # 3 ranked team in 4A

don,t forget Calhoun turned it over 2 times, don’t blame special teams, the blame lies in a big fast defense that gave up 46, but in reality credit goes to Calhoun,s offense. People ave had something to say about Calhoun,s defense , but those aaaa defenses that Calhoun has played gave up more. Carrollton play hard, big and fast. they played clean, very little lip service, a class outfit.

Hey Football Guy, Carrollton is ranked #3 based on last year’s efforts. They are not the same team and will struggle to even make the play-offs this year. I’m from the Carrollton area and love it when Carrollton loses and I’m not trying to take anything away from Calhoun but C’town is way down.

If Trey Chivers doesn’t go to the top of a lot ot team’s recruiting boards for a running back, they are missing the boat big time. This guy is a load. Blazing speed, strong, and can catch the ball.
Calhoun may not have a great defense, but their offense can play with anyone in the state. As others have said, it was a very good game played with good sportsmanship on both sides. Hats off to the Carrollton players and coaches. They are a great team.

Blazer53,
I’ve followed high school football since the late 70’s. I’ve seen plenty of mediocre teams. Carrollton is not one of them. If they are down, I’d hate to see what they were last year. They are a very good team.
Their offensive and defensive fronts are huge. They have speed all over the field. Chivers is one of the best running backs I have ever seen play at the high school level. The other wing back is already a projected state champion in the 110m hurdles as a freshman. Speed wins and they have it. They will be a playoff team.

Brooks County may owe Calhoun one but in last years playoff game they kept their first team in during the second half when the game was over at halftime. Calhoun had 2nd and 3rd team players
the whole second half and still beat them by 4 touchdowns.
Not Disappointed

Hey football guy, Last year is not this year! Last year Brooks Co lost to Valdosta Wildcats. This year we beat them. BRING THE HAMMER!!! You have no defense this year.

To BCTrojanc/o86 The point being why not let 2nd and third string play in a playoff game that is out of reach. Just makes sense to give those kids some experience instead of trying to make the score look respectable. Just one of the reasons Calhoun wins all the time.
