Congrats to all the young men on the list….
However, it is a complete JOKE that Tyren Jones has not been selected for either the Under Armour or Army All American Game! I guess if you don’t go to the summer camps for these recruiting services sponsoring each game (Rivals for Army and Nike Camps for Under Armour) you don’t get recognized as being one of the best players in the country which the kid is unquestionably.

I agree 100% about the Tyren Jones’ omission.
Tyren….they are saying you aren’t good enough, that there are better RBs across the country. Heck, they are saying there is a better RB than you in the ATL Metro. Think about this while you are practicing, running and hitting the weights. Show them the errors of their selections.
Tyren didn’t attend the camps associated with these games…. So this is how they respond…..taking their ball and going home.
I love Alvin Kamara and believe he is one of the top 2-3 RBs in the nation. However, there is no way Tyren should have been omitted. Personally, I think he [Jones] is the #1 RB in the nation.

Also, these are just”selections” to appease PC or sponsors..Another true star is Brenden Douglas
of Aquinas High in Augusta. He only scored three TD’s last week in a 33-13 opening win while
gaining 145 yards rushing, As Aquinas(7-A) beat AA East Laurens. Probably hundreds left out who
didn’t have connections.

I knew it…all you Cobb county football neophytes; go dig a big hole in the ground and bury yourself. Face it, football in Cobb county is like soccer…well, anywhere. It just isn’t relevant. Nobody cares about Walton, Lassiter and, and, heck I guess thats it. Win a championship before you start whining about getting your boys on All-American teams. FYI, Jones won’t play at Bama, ever.

BamaBornDukie…the name fits. You are an idiot. Best in the nation? Come on. Maybe best in the county. It doesn’t matter if he attends the camps or not. Stop using that for an excuse!

Ramsey and not Anthony Jennings!?? Jeepers. Who’s y’all’s consultant, Mike Booboo? That’s ok. This kind of stuff just motivates Anthony even more. He’ll probably complete 20 straight passes this week instead of the 18 straight completions he had last week. Y’all shouldn’t let the idiots that make up the UGA coaching staff and fan base influence your decisions.

Sam Roney…i might as well blast you too. Who in the blue blazes cares about some private school in Augusta? Anybody with a pulse could score 2 TDs against E Laurens. 3 isn’t much of a stretch. Play Buford, Grayson, Camden, Colquitt, N Gwinnett, heck even Walton before you start making judgement calls about someone being a “true star”.

tide roll…you must be from alabama. “Who’s y’all’s consultant”…come on. 2 apostrophies in one word? That only happens in the French language. Good luck to Marietta…another Cobb county juggernaut.

@ The Truth…you are a clown! That is about all the response you deserve. This has nothing to do with Cobb County Football, South GA Football or North Georgia Football. Tyren Jones is a baller I don’t care where he plays. I will certainly always trust Nick Saban (and all the other college coaches that offered) opinion over yours! You say Tyren will never play at Bama…LMAO…you are the one that needs to go dig a hole and bury yourself in it.

Since I played, more and more people have their hands in the pot with these kids. Its a shame, because high school basketball is all but runied based on the hype, the xfers, and the AAU coaches. The WINNINGEST HIGH SCHOOL team in the nation’s players never got/get/will get/have gotten this much exposure, nor do any of the kids in Region 1AAAAAA. I guess its okay, but I think is exposure and the attention these kids get is what results in “The Crow” incident and others like it. I’ll debate all day about teams, but I have to draw the line at kids personally……just too weird for me. Every school has a kid or kids they are proud of, I’m not gonna start raggin on an 18 yr old, even if he is from Grayson or North Gwinnett.

Tyren Jones should be in both games. That kid has crazy ability.. McCrary from Cedar Grove is in the Army All-American game..can you say political. Rated as the 34th best prospect in the state..That means 33 kids have to play in some All-American game some where right..Its A Joke..

There are alot of quality players in Ga. Not all can go to these exhibition games. T Jones is a good back, no doubt but after watching him last week he’s not very flashy. Underarmor may be going w/flash factor.

Jones is a “flashy” RB typically as he’s very elusive and shifty. Walton resorted to the “ground and pound” to wear down McEachern. So with Jones getting 47 carries the intent was to punish the defense.
Go take a look at Jones’ highlight tape from the 2011 season as well as the Brookwood game and you will see flash. But again, you aren’t going to get a lot of flash in 47 carry game which was one of survival of the fittest.

I think the parents of these kids who end up getting their child’s education paid for wont worry too much if they don’t get picked to play in the xyz allstar game or not. Remember folks, sports should be a vehicle towards getting a free education. Anything beyond that is gravy.

@Mighty Mighty Wildcats – Last I looked, Camden County was in R1 (Brice) and Dooley Co is definitely NOT metro or N GA (Montravius). Withe the vast majority of the players in the Metro/N Ga area, it makes sense that more would be from that area.
