@ RowdyRaider…
Yep, both Tay Rae & Kamani looked real good BUT EAST has a LOT of issues they have to resolve
and FAST… the biggest is no team can operate even ONE play without it’s QB and EAST is heading for trouble if the AD or someone at EAST doesn’t sit the new coach down and explain to him how valuable Mitchell Webb is to this team. Just look at last year when he went down for a few games!
STUPID, STUPID, STUPID coaching decision to play the QB on DEFENSE (?) and PUNT RETURNS (??)…let him play his position and lead this team! EAST has NEVER had trouble returning punts many times for TD’S thru the years!
EAST was LUCKY to get out of NP with a win last Friday, mix in all those horrible flags that got thown, in with BAD play calling and at best EAST got REAL LUCKY!!! The players just wanted this game and it showed!
In my opinion the case for Goddard being the Head Coach is still very much in doubt…He has a LOT to prove! This EAST team is loaded with talent and it’s NOT BROKE…don’t try to reinvent the team to fit some crazy design the coach has in mind. Take the team that was already in place when you were given this job (and I mean literally given the job over many other better qualified candidates) show you can handle this team and let the EAST players do what they do BEST…WIN BALLGAMES!
TICK…TICK…TICK…BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Also adding #4 for McNair High School in Dekalb County, Michael Minter, one receiving TD, INT, and a game-winning punt return TD. #4 Michael Minter, raw 4.4 speed.

Not sure how you could leave out Sam Walker from AAAAAA South Forsyth High who had an 85 yard kickoff return, a 57 yard TD catch and rushed a TD. The kid ended up with over 360 all purpose yards and 3 touchdowns. These stats beat out 80% of your list, a little more research might help…

I feel sorry for East Paulding Players, Fans, and coaches. You have been on here for years and you are one of the reasons the other bloggers hate you guys (East Paulding). Quit your ranting and raving on here. Quit getting on here and cutting down the coaching staff and acting as if you know everything that is going on with the team and inside the locker room. You have NO idea what the reasons are for the coach to do ANYTHIG. You DON’T know if there are dicipline problems, acedemic problem, attitude problems or anything else. You get on here each week and run your mouth and make ALL of EAST PAULDING look like whiny, spoiled brats.
DO US ALL A FAVOR AND EAST PAULDING AND FIND ANOTHER HOBBY!!!!!!

@ CowbellHell…I agree there are always someone left off this list. It reallys does seem only certain schools and PLAYERS are the ones listed week after week when others are preforming at higher levels. Almost like a popularity contest instead of fact based reporting.
@ The Cannon Rules…..THAT WAS FUNNY!!!!!! There are always a few people in a program that thinks they know more than the coaches and have an inside scoop on what is going with a team. When in fact, they are people who have nothing better to do than try and interject themsleves into a position to make themselves feel important. I say we all just ignore those people who obviously need mental help.

Geez, give the reporter(s) a break. If a player is not on this list it is almost certainly because HIS SCHOOL DID NOT REPORT HIS STATS. I’ve worked as a journalist covering HS sports and you’d be shocked to know how difficult it is to track down game information. It’s not like GHSF or the AJC can send someone to cover every single HS game being played in the state. Nor do most high schools have an AD or coach who can be counted on to respond in a timely manner to requests for such information. If you are frustrated that a player from your team is not getting fair coverage, TALK TO HIS COACH OR AD.

We can’t research 400 teams every week. We’re dependent on coaches, fans and media. That’s why this is a blog and not a news story. People can alert us to anybody who might be missing. If a school is being overlooked, let that school know.
Also, it was Labor Day weekend. Hard to reach coaches then, and they also sometimes take time off and don’t have their stats complete.

Great point norwegian blue. Hard to cover all games in this state especially a game with two programs that have never performed too well playing in the highest class. If the SF player had a game like that against a good Gwinnett program it is much more likely we would hear about it.

I apologize I wasn’t aware the coaches, fans, and media were all the resources for this. I know that some coaches and fans are biased so we just need to take some of it with a grain of salt?
Does make for some interesting posts though when people (including myself) get a little sideways when it looks to be a little onesided.
I actually enjoy the stories about break out players who haven’t been highlighted before.
I guess that is where we need to chime in and let other’s know a team or player is doing something not reported.
Understand Now…Again…Sorry.

You gotta love a poster who doesn’t even post under a blog name but simply attacks other posters…
But IF you had actually been at the game Friday night you would have seen the concerns most folks had / have…the coach played the EAST QB literally EVERY play. He used him in his position at QB, then turned him around to play on the “D”, then used him on punt returns, and finally even had him out on kickoffs!!
Players were falling out all over the field in the heat, and humidity with cramps to start with and to use your QB, the team leader like this defies common sense! Unlike you and many posters I will post win or lose, suck it up and discuss a loss as well as talk about a win.
If you don’t like my post, don’t like actually discussing the games whatever I have a suggestion…DON’T READ MY POST because I will continue to be in here…week end, and week out! By the way check the other blogs and you will see many other fans, parents, etc. posting very similar postings about last weeks EAST / NP game which was attended by well over 5,000 folks!

I for one have to defend “THE CANNON RULES”. I was at the game and would agree with him 100%. There is no use repeating all his points about the players. But its true Goddard was “literally given the job” and because of that he will have A LOT to prove (more so then most). I’ve said this before in another post. I will give him a chance, but from what I’ve seen so far I’m not impressed. It’s very early so maybe that will change. But I still agree with “THE CANNON RULES”.

Lambert’s TJ Russell had a total of 176 yards receiving in the Longhorns victory against Etowah 14-7 along with catching a 70yd pass from Chandler Register early in the 3rd quarter which set up the last TD needed in Lambert’s victory. Next up for Lambert is Roswell.
