Wasn’t Luella a playoff team last year? Is Lowndes just that good?

Left the Grayson/Miami Central game with Grayson up 28-3. Miami had a drive going, but with 2:30 left in the 3rd qtr., we thought the game was over. Grayson was bigger and just as fast. Maybe this was Central’s first game? They had only 2 first downs in the first half and probably had negative yards.

Luella is good now. They have some studs on that squad!! And a couple of D-1 prospects to match. But too much Lowndes ground and pound….I don’t believe they were last year….

I know Lowndes is good, they always are. I don’t think they are Camden/Grayson good this year, but wasn’t sure what to expect out of them this year.

To whoever wanted S. Cobb updates, it is 29-22 and it is still saying it is 4th qtr. Though I assume at this time it is basically over unless it started late or there was a delay.

@Camden74 re:Walton D
I would agree…to a point. They have a couple of very nice players, especially DJ SMith at CB. But they, so far in the first game plus the start of the Mac game tonight, they can easily be exposed. A good pass-rush mix or if a pass-happy team like Lassiter, I can see them bein in for a long night.
Now, all of that can change of course as the season goes on and if they have some guys step up. Montz looked very good last week (4 sacks??), but he is undersized I believe and can’t do it all by himself up front.

@Camden74 – of the eight teams I saw at the dome last week, Camden was the cream of the crop, including Grayson. Colquitt seemed to be just a shadow of what they might be later on. It’s early. Grayson looked very good in the 35-3 win over Miami Central, and represented Georgia well.
