Marist coach Alan Chadwick can become the 11th man to reach 300 victories as a Georgia head coach on Friday when his team faces Clarke Central. Here are the 10 that have hit 300:

353 – Robert Davis

346 – Dan Pitts

323 – Luther Welsh

318 – Dwight Hochstetler

317 – Bill Chappell

315 – Wayman Creel

303 – T. McFerrin

302 – Nick Hyder

300 – Rodney Walker

Note: These include victories only while a coach in Georgia. The victory totals of Welsh, McFerrin and Walker do not include wins while they coached teams in other states.

Campbell (Lincoln County), Hochstetler (Bowdon) and McFerrin (Jefferson) are active.

Henderson has about 275 wins. Max Bass probably closer to 220.

Records for basketball coaches are kept, but I haven’t seen it updated in a few years. For other sports, it’s much harder to find. Might be something out there for baseball, but I don’t know where.
