Bush leads No. 1 Wolves to fast start

Class AAA No. 1 Buford (7-0) won its home opener Monday 8-0 over Jefferson in six innings. Pitcher Bria Bush improved her record to 4-0 with a one-hit performance. Carly Kayler homered in the second inning to give Lassiter a 2-0 edge. After the Bucs tied the game, Murphy Davis somehow scored on a rundown after Mackenzie Kayler grounded to the shortstop. Davis finished the game 2-for-2 at the plate. Kayler got the win for the Trojans. Anna Awald got the win in the circle for the Wildcats while also going 2-2 with a double and an RBI.
