Watson, strong secondary head preseason Class AAAAA all-state team

Deshaun Watson, the Gainesville quarterback who threw for more than 3,000 yards last season as a sophomore, leads GHSF Daily’s preseason all-state team in Class AAAAA. Watson has committed to Clemson.

Linebacker Elliott Berry of Creekside, is another blue-chip recruit in AAAA from the class of 2014. Berry is the younger brother of All-Pro NFL safety Eric Berry.

Also notable about the AAAAA team is the secondary. All four defensive backs have committed – Quincy Mauger to Georgia, Brendan Langley to South Carolina, Brandon Facyson to Virginia Tech and Darius Curry to Oklahoma State.

The player most likely to lead AAAAA in rushing might be a quarterback. Adam Choice surpassed 1,600 yards on the ground last year. He’s listed as the athlete on the team.

D. Watson is one heck of a Friday night player, during this summer many coaches observed that his work ethic needs help. A bad attitude was noticed during some tough games this summer, giving him the benefit of the doubt, new region, Buford on the horizon he can define his status and possibly pass to greatness – all agree that he is in a new league coming from 3 a to 5a

Tell me how can someone make a “all state team ” before the season even gets started. Their is one plyer on this list that hasn’t see the field in over a year from injury. Who came up with this list? Are they watching the same football games I’m watching?

Congrats to everyone on this list. But for those who think they were overlook; let this be your motivation! There are alot of NFL players that were not All-Stars!

John Reid is gone, and my son has moved on to play football in college. All i can say is, look out for East paulding! They should have a fine season. Lorenz suttles, Aaron Black, Kyler Neal, Marcus Gilbert, Romaine, D James, and add a Healthy Mitchell Webb, should earn the respect they deserve as the top team in paulding county. Oh, and by the way, A HEALTHY KAMANI THOMAS!! Watch out Georgia, the top 2013 running back. Move over Tyren, Heeeeeeee’sssss baaaaaack!!!!!

One Gwinnett county player, yet they will once again win multiple state championships. There is no I in team

Hey Champ. I don’t see any Gwinnett players. Ya know why? Because Gwinnett’s county schools play in 6A this year. This is 5A for 2012. You guys get with it.

Three players from Northside Warner Robins!!! We’ve been a state powerhouse for the past 14 years. We lost to Tucker last year in the semi’s when we fumbled on their 1 yard line and had the ball returned 99 yards with about 2 min. left in the 4th. Talk about a heartbreaker, I’m really looking forward to this season! It’s great to be a NORTHSIDE EAGLE!!!

The “POST REID ERA” begins tonight! EAST Paulding @ McEachern for a scrimmage game.

This should be a good “tune-up” and show what the new season may hold. EAST has lots of returning Jr’s and Sr’s with a attractive schedule.

They changed classifications again? No gwinnett county players on here.

Let the fun begin (well maybe it’s just a scrim). But it will be good to see some EP football again. I for one am both excited about our team and apprehensive about the new coach.

Hey Paul Johnson has Moobies…. before you diss GHSFD you need to catch up yourself. This is the new AAAAA — a new classification was added beginning this year –AAAAAA. Most 4A classifications moved up to the 5A classification. My school was one of them

No “I” in team, true – but there is “me” – if your beans and cornbread eaters don’t do their jobs for all those “me” players listed above, slinging, catching and carrying those pigs into the pasture of sixes won’t be easy to do. If it isn’t easy to do – won’t be any of these guys on the end of the year list, doesn’t matter what classification we are talking about.

The pig delivery department better take care of those “me” lineman on the list – tell them thank you every once in awhile. That way the road to the pasture of sixes is wide open all the time!

Well, well, well………..TCC QB Adam Choice had about 200 yards on the ground and 2 TDs last night in a scrimmage against Jonesboro. We had heard a lot of good things about Jonesboro before the scrimmage……9-2 last year, a couple of D-1 type players, etc, etc…….However, last night, they just looked lost, as TCC rolled to a 42-6 win, and the only score Jonesboro got was on a pick-6.

Oh, and Mark Richt has already offered Adam Choice. This is one young man he wouldn’t have to worry about getting caught in a red-light district stoned and smelling of weed with a gun under the seat at 3 in the morning, either.

Keep your hands off my recruit, Richt. I need someone who knows how to run the option up here. Might even have to go to split-back veer so he will commit.

Ok East Paulding fans fill me in on the scrimmage with Heard it was 21-17 at halftime in favor of MAC. But see and hear only bits and pieces. I’d like an honest assessment. Was it true that Mac put a ton on them in the second half ?, even if it was reserves that’s not good. Overall I really don’t care about the results but do care about how they looked. ????? Was it true that Webb pulled his red don’t touch qb jersey off ??
