Class A-AAAA boys No. 4 Chattahoochee (10-2) defeated Oviedo (Fla.) 13-6 on Thursday and Sarasota Military Academy (Fla.) 14-5 on Saturday. Junior Quentin Johnson led the Cougars with four goals Thursday while Chris Berchock and Zach Hathaway each had two goals. Grayson West had three assists while Thomas Cohen and Shane Zaunbrecher shared goaltending duties. In the Saturday game, West notched six goals and an assist while Tommy Stanton had four assists. … Class A-AAAA No. 1 Westminster Lady Wildcats (11-0) have been led by junior Caroline Heys, who has 57 goals and 27 assists this season (ranking by LaxPower.com). Senior goalie Katie Rush has an 11-0 record for the season with a save percentage of 55.4. As a team Westminster is shooting 60 percent from the field, the best mark in program history. Heys, senior Eve Knapp and junior Ansley Walker each have shot over 60 percent on the year. In a game at Lovett on Tuesday, Knapp had eight goals and Heys scored seven goals in a 19-9 Westminster triumph. LaxPower.com has Westminster ranked as the No. 2 team in Georgia in any classification. … In the Westminster loss, Lovett (5-6-1) was led by Jessie Wolfe’s three goals and Camille Ward’s eight saves. … After their 2-1 trip to Florida, the Class AAAAA No. 1 Milton (9-1) girls are off until an April 13 match against Victor (N.Y.). … The Peachtree Ridge girls (9-1) have won seven matches in a row, including a 21-12 win over Mill Creek, which avenged the Lady Lions’ lone defeat. The No. 11 Lady Lions have been led by Michelle Fortier’s 52 goals and Kayla Jones’ 15 assists. In goal, Izzie Ivory has 68 saves and a 58.1 percent save rate. … After sweeping Lovett and Westminster two weeks ago, the Class A-AAAA No. 1 Lambert boys (12-0) were idle during spring break. Coach Josh Sagel’s team boasts three college commitments in Grant Shuster (Navy), Colin Massa (Delaware), Zack Price (High Point) and Braxton Roman (High Point). … The No. 5 Decatur boys (8-2) have held opponents under nine goals in each game this year and average giving up just under five goals per game. The Bulldogs whipped Asheville School (N.C.) 16-1 Friday and will host Greenbrier Saturday. Decatur is led by sophomore Nicholas Bentley, who has 37 goals.
